The point is that only a deluded PC fan who thinks his program has a national profile that it doesn't would take that to be a "prime example" of "most" UConn fans not knowing about college basketball beyond UConn.

It's really just a "prime example" of people not giving a about crappy regional games like that. Maybe you and your friends are still buzzing about last night's Rider / Monmouth game, too. I'm not, but that doesn't mean I don't know anything about college basketball beyond UConn.

Come on, every college basketball fan knows all about PC's dream season run beating someone and then Robert Morris.

I thought it was but wasn't sure. Thought that maybe I only dreamed it was Charlotte.

From past history, UConn alternates, mostly year to year, with old Yankee conference foes (tonite Maine) and CT D-1 foes (this year Yale). My guess is old BE foes will be similarly scheduled.
We eventually will play PC but I doubt it'll ever be a year to year event. If Syracuse or St. John's are scheduled the games would be in MSG. Those two former BE foes would of most importance to UConn. We did get roped into a 10 year event with UMass (we won 9) but that, most likely won't happen again.

Ern,

I've left NE several times; thanks. I'm not saying you have to follow every game; but have some semblance of a clue about the sport.

Speaking of playing in March/April, I'll take UConn's history of playing during these months, in the past 23 years, over just about any other collegiate hoop program in the country.

To be honest, the only time most of us even think of PC any more is when you come on here with a post. The league change kind of diminished any relevance PC might still have had for the Husky fan.

Never said PC was at UConns level. Even the biggest PC hater would have to admit that PC is light years ahead of Fairfield. YOU need to do better...

Your reading comprehension is mindblowingly poor. I said it doesn't mean that, nor does it mean PC is better than Fairfield. There is a bevy of evidence PC is better than Fairfield. What you submitted is not part of it. It was a very poor attempt.

I need to do better? I throw your statement back at you with some minor changes: I never said PC wasn't better than Fairfield. In fact I implied the opposite. Get with it.

have to disagree. Posts about PC have increased dramatically since the split. and UCONN fans have started the threads.

The posts are mosly started by UC fans. But, you and FriarJ contribute mightily to the threads longevity. That's fine by me. But, as FriarJ & I have argued in the past, posts like yours here, would get UConn posters banned on PC's board.

Have you ever been to Mullins? How is it as a facility? I know tickets are easy to get.

They are at the Springfield Civic Center today and there are plenty of tickets. Trying to get my college student son to wake up and go we'll see.

As far as Mullins I saw the Huskies and Rudy Gay play there once.......not a bad arena similar in may respects to Gampel.

I agree w/. that. It does have a Gampel feel minus all the leftover energy from the thrilling victories experienced in the building. ; )

Although I had a few fun experiences from Phish shows in Mullins back in the day.
