Nice Friday news dump.....

NCAA says that aside from faking classes and grades and fielding ineligible athletes, North Carolina didn't break any rules.

They've also announced that the Lindbergh baby was not kidnapped, the Hindenburg landed safely and that the moon is in fact made of cheese.

Gouda, if you must know.

What a farce the NCAA is. There you go boys, just cheat in the classes and pump up that APR. Why not?

nice, the ncaa can punish Calhoun for "promoting an environment of non-compliance"(which might as well read we don't like you and we don't have any evidence of anything) but there's nothing to see when it comes to UNC because even though it's clear they were skirting around academic requirements it's not the NCAA's business.

What a pile of crap! UNC may be kind enough to report back to the NCAA should they find anything else that they don't want to bury! This is wretched!

How has this piece of organization not been sued into oblivion?

Don't worry. They had a very competent team of UNC grads on the case.

Yeah, but it's not like their players just didn't go to school or something. Wait, they did.

So, can UConn sue now?

The NCAA is clearly using different standards for different schools. I feel like a breach of contract suit should be a piece of cake to win.

And the college world is caught flat-footed with this shocking report.

The bright, silver lining in all of this is we will never have to read about UNC infallibility, or the "Carolina Way", or even a hint of academic superiority ever again.

Suddenly, across the great state of North Carolina there are thousands stripped of their pretense - bare, save for their visors...and khakis.
