After his head-on crash the other evening where a passenger in the other vehicle lost their life, he was upgraded to serious condition yesterday. Hope he recovers although it seems like a long road physically and mentally.

While reading about the crash I found a tidbit on Mookie which I never knew and looked it up in his biography:

Fans of the basketball player, the band members of Pearl Jam originally named their group "Mookie Blaylock", but they were forced to change the name. They settled on naming their debut album Ten after Blaylock's jersey number.[2][3][4] In addition, Blaylock himself is a fan of Pearl Jam.[2]

Sad story, wonder how Bazz is taking it. Kid has been through enough of this (i.e. off court).

That was a different Blaylock, Will I believe? Mookie is older and went to Oklahoma while Will I believe went to Iowa State..........

Mau, I'm gonna hunt you down for not knowing that!!!! ;)

I think Will Blaylock was good friends with Bazz not Mookie.......thinking Kitaman is either mixed up or drinking early again!

He's think of Will Blalock.

Different last name.

Yes and if I remember correctly it seemed UConn was an early favorite for his commitment but at a younger stage of his HS career?

Will almost certainly would have been at UConn if not for some nonsense surrounding his recruitment.

Chris Driscoll, the skunk who ended up as a PC assistant, had his hooks in there.

Mookie blaylock one of the great defensive guards ever. Led the nba in steals and threes attempted (2nd in made) during during the 96-97 season. Six time all defensive teamer.
Hoping for a speedy recovery

Remembering half of stuff lately (and apparently barely at that). Early drinking, stupor and hangover combined. Man it was hot out there yesterday. All I can say is don't drink and bake.
