OT: Masiello deal a no go for USF

My guess is that, if a contract was signed, it was contingent on a background check. If not, he may have a nice lawsuit. If so, he was stupid for signing it with that contingency in place, particularly given that he likely knew about the "discrepancy," and he would not have a case.

Sure puts him in an awful spot. He's already given notice, said goodbye to players, and so on. Now what? Can't really slink back to Manhattan, but every other job offeror is now thinking the same thing: "what is the discrepancy that is so bad USF wouldn't hire this guy?"

Same exact issue as Jordan at Rutgers. Doesn't look good when USF out-ethics you. Then again, we don't know the facts. Jordan did supposedly have a dozen or so extra credits, but didn't complete some random requirements or something.
