OT: Joober

My thoughts and prayers. You talk to people in chat rooms and message boards. But you never know the real person. Only someone behind a monitor and keyboard.I am sure some on here have met joober. You never really know. Rich or poor, occupation,education, present status. My heart dropped reading Spokesbenders post. You never know what people are going through. This will be on my mind all day, and I never really met him or exchange messages on here. Makes me think how I have no right to bitch or complain knowing what he is going through. He is a hero in my book.

Nothin’ low key about it. I knew something was missing when I hadn’t seen that rather bulbous posterior in awhile. It’s a good bonus to every post.

Very much appreciated. He'll be comi g home tomorrow but I spoke with him tonight and he was visibly touched and appreciative of everyone's kind words on here
 
I extend my deepest of thanks to everyone. Things are still a bit painful, but I'll be back to normal in a bit of time. As @Spokesbender mentioned, all of it ended up happening during the anniversary of when my first son died. Basically I was a dumb teenager who didn't think much about the future, and ended up getting my girlfriend at the time pregnant. Our son was born prematurely and never came home from the hospital. He'd have just turned 25, and there's so much I wonder about. I wonder what kind of man he'd be today, what kind of big brother he'd have been to my two surviving children, and how at this point in his life, the two of us could be enjoying a few beers together taking in a UConn/Mets/Jets game. I'm a firm believer in the idea of an afterlife and hope I'll finally get to know him then.

Don't know what kind of man he would be, but his dad sounds like one he-- of a man.

Joober - in addition to wishing you well, a speedy recovery, and a long and happy life, I feel obligated to point out that you, as a very long term member of our group here, are a very important component of the Mojo, and it would be extremely inconsiderate of you to not take very good care of yourself and your loved ones, thereby putting the mojo at risk.

Seriously though, you very much seem like one of those people who spends so much time taking care of other people that you selflessly don't allow yourself care. I know because I'm married to one - have to beg her to go to the doctor.

Soldier on, Joober - my thoughts are with you.
 
Be well Joober - talk about over-delivering - christ this man does it daily it seems.
