If I recall correctly, someone here initially gave their kid the first and middle name of Emeka Okafor. Some rule where you could name your kid, then change it before you left the hospital or something? So they named him Emeka Okafor....then I assume they changed it to something else.
That was me, but it was Kemba during the NC run in 11. For a day and a half, my now 2 1/2 year old was Kemba Walker Covino. The wife was super cool about it but made SURE that the nurses changed it to Sawyer Thompson before submitting the document to SS.

Congrats 99 great news.......

Late night/early a.m. Boneyard will be you soon enough

Congrats sir...

No need to retire from BY - go find a cheap (because diapers AREN'T cheap) voice to transcription program for when both hands are full :D

Nice!!!! Good luck - you are certainly going to have your hands full. You might need the BY even more now (to have something to do for the 4 minutes you will not be busy a day).

I told my wife if we have two boys I am naming them ollie and calhoun
I have twin sons (and two beautiful daughters as well). When my wife was pregnant with the boys my friend and UConn ticket partner insisted I should name them Tate and Nadav. The idea sort of grew on me and I broached the subject with my wife. While she is a UConn fan (converted from a Nebraska fan), there was no way her boys were going to be named Tate and Nadav. When she was pregnant with our 4 child, I think I had her buy in for Tate. Alas, it was a girl so we named her Christina. My buddy was incredulous. He said you could have named her Tatum! At the time I felt I missed the boat. However, as Tate's recent legal escapades have become public, perhaps it was for the best. Our two Golden Retrievers are named Boone and Kemba respectively.

Your discretionary time just went to zero. You'll probably find you are on the Boneyard more. The only free time I had away from home was to go to the grocery store and UConn games.

My wife wanted a cat. I didn't want any more pets for at least a decade. She won. I should have bargained for naming rights but I settled for her cleaning the cat litter. She named the cat Kai. I wanted to name him Kemba. So I tried compromising by naming him Kai Walker (Star Wars and Husky play). He ended up being Kai, but when she's not around he's Kai Walker.

Congrats, 99! Twins are twice as nice...twice the work, twice the joy, twice the love!

99 that's great news! You have been and are a wealth of information and I for one will miss your work. Make sure you play our Husky anthem on your wife's stomach 3 times a day. I hear husky music is good for the babies. It will develop their brain cells. Just don't play any of Calhoun's press conferences we don't want them to have a foul mouth. :)
Hey he can't be retiring for real. 99 has 10 toes in, soon to be 20 more!

I know. Like Brette Farve.

I don't know if twins are that much more work - you just dump twice the amount of Cheerios on the floor before a game and then clean up whatever they didn't eat when it's over.

I really need to write a parenting book.

Congrats.

Twins aren't that bad alone. I was blessed with having a 3 and 1/2 year old, twin 13 month olds, and a new born. If you think our next few years weren't hellacious, think again.

One bit of parenting advice - stock up on duck tape. It's a parent's best friend.

So why didn't go for one more and field a basketball team?

Anyway, Congrats 99 I could not be happier for you. First newborn(s) is a great time of life.

Wow, similar but that is as condensed as I've ever heard. We had 5yrs, 2 x 2.5yrs twins and then newborn.

Within a month we'll progress to 9, pair of 6's and 3. When do the hellacious years end precisely?

Congrats on the twins. Challenging and fun!
