Nope. Well, supposedly, but not that anyone other than the submitter of the name can explain. But the possibilities for scoreboard animation are endless.

Except for the little fact that choppers, or helos (as we call them in the Navy) are manufactured in Stratford, not Hartford.

Yeah, it has to be the Yard Goats, although I would have loved the Hartford Direwolves as well...

Honestly I can't vouch for their quality. They were nearly phased out by the time I served, relegated solely to the few remaining Knox-class frigates still in service.

Hartford is now the proud owner of the greatest name in sports! Nothing is better than the Yard Goats!
 
I actually think this whole thing is great for the city of Hartford. The more development that isn't Uconn-Storrs related the better. They're building dorms for UConn-Hartford at the new location correct? That will be a benefit to the area as well. Would love to see Hartford go after a MLL team and an MLS franchise too, would be great for the city to land that type of entertainment, show it can support it, then go after the big fish of the NHL
 
Where can I buy the cap? I bought a Biloxi Shuckers cap the day they became available because I liked the name and logo; I expect I'll do the same here. Doubt I'll make it to a game unless I have an interest in a player or team playing there.
 
Goat is the worst possible thing you can call a baseball player.

Goat is also used to declare Greatest Of All time. Just sayin'.:rolleyes:
 
Rockies are demanding that the colors be black and purple.

Hartford says nope...will be brown and orange.
