That "taunting" penalty was hilarious (ref misses a late hit, then slaps ODB with a penalty for complaining about it), but Beckham needs to get himself under control. Nobody likes a hothead. Refs especially.

If you saw stats that is great. However the last two preseasons (besides this one) he looked good. When they started the new offense he seemed to get a grasp with his scrubs. I am not saying he is the answer by no means. However there were more than 10 times that I saw him tuck it away and scamper for a 1st down. Plus he didn't have to think twice. I was going to say that the only way to know what info the Giants knew about Brown was for all front office personnel to turn over their texts, emails and phone records. That's not necessary, though, since we already know they knew all about Brown's abuse.

As for why the NYG handled the situation this way, it's because they are "The New York Football Giants." Suspend one of their guys for the mandatory 6 games, even a journeyman kicker? Mara's not going to allow that to happen.

In a series of Tweets, she attacked New York co-owner John Mara for his stance on the Brown issue. “As a domestic violence survivor, reading these Mara comments makes me sad, angry and completely baffled. He just doesn’t get it. This is sad,” she wrote. “Don’t know why it’s difficult [for] folks to realize there’s nothing remotely acceptable bout violence against women. Believe me, the NFL would MUCH prefer you to do so. Best thing that ever happened to them (coincidence?) was deflategate taking the spotlight off of domestic abuse in the NFL. They milked it for all it was worth. Integrity of the game...must protect the Shield....blah blah blah. NFL has about as much integrity as Charles Ponzi.

Again it's plain awful to hit a woman or anything remotely close to abuse. But it's in NY and both Brown and OBJ are in the limelight due to this. Every NFL team has punks who have done things which wouldn't be acceptable to us as fans but hey they let them play. The Cowboys make it a habit to grab these guys.

Haven't read enough but just from what Josh has admitted they weren't very harsh with his regargin the 1 game suspension, a year would be more like it. But if what I have heard is correct and he has changed, seeking help and making things better between he and his ex, then this world of sports is full of 2nd chances. He's a no doubt, but every team is full of them it's football.

And would people stop with the OBJ crap, he's a total idiot but he needs to grow up. The helmet off was stupid and he needs to be told so, but other than that he was a good soldier in that game. The comparison's to terrell owens is a joke - that guy was not a nice guy at all and a selfish pc of crap. By all accounts OBJ is a young respectful kid off the field in a big way, just needs to tone down the passion during, he's trying and we'll see. But again, benign NY makes it twice as bad. Ground acted like a total a**wipe vs the Bengals and nothing discussed. What he did on the field was worst than OBJ taking his helmet off but he's a patriot, it's ok!

OBJ has let his head get the best of him on multiple occasions while the Giants coaching staff looks helpless. The guy's a great talent but a mental midget. He acted like a fool twice and it's ok because someone else supposedly took a cheap shot? You guys are hilarious but consistent. While OBJ's inconsistent behavior is inexcusable no doubt, the mere fact Gronk was not flagged twice and tossed removes all your fans ridiculous fears of the NFL hates the Pats I promise you, he was out of control and I could give 2 ts about what Burfict supposedly did.
