The wrong call was Doc drawing up a play for Pierce and not Ray Ray.
No.

He was called for another moving screen, and he said that Crawford had warned him that they would be calling it. No excuses.
Yeah, I mean, it's not like Pierce has ever hit a big shot in his career...
lol @ the celtics homers in this thread.
Blatant moving screen. Should have been called and it was.
A healthy Ray? Definitely. But he's struggled getting open since he came back, and Pierce has proven himself pretty capable of hitting shots with the game on the line.Down 3 with the game on the line you wantPaul PierceRay Allen taking the shot.

There's really no way you can complain about a wide-open Pierce jumper.
OK, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume that, like 95% of this board, you don't watch the NBA.

KG got away with it last year not this year though
They've both been clutch throughout their careers. And when KG and RayRay joined the C's there was no doubt who was gonna be the go-to guy (Pierce). It's silly to look at one game. They've both missed plenty of big shots in their lengthy careers as well.Yeah, um, I'm gonna go ahead and say I want Pierce taking big shots over Ray right now.

Your argument is baseless. I'd rather listen to Stephen A. Smith talk about Tim Tebow than your pathetic attempt at a good point. Although I don't have the stats to back up my point that Ray Allen is a better shooter or has hit more big shots than Paul Pierce I think its fair to assume those stats are accurate and just because you don't have a job and watch Sportscenter three times a day and order retro jerseys and still wear sneakers and fitted hats doesn't make you know a goshdarn thing. You probably drink soda out of a can. Grow up.
This is really a trainwreck of a post.
And I'm not even talking about taking sides in this argument.
It's not about how many big shots Ray or Pierce have hit throughout their careers. In fact, Ray has been one of the most insanely clutch shooters I've ever seen, maybe even more than Pierce.Like you, I'm not taking sides either, and I'm a diehard Ray Allen fan. Like I stated, I've seen both Allen and Pierce hit the big shot, I've also seen them miss. Because I love Ray so much, I'd rather see him take the last shot, but I understand if it's Pierce. Today someone can say "I'd rather have Pierce taking big shots over Ray right now." The next game it could be the opposite. They can't hit them all.
He looked good the other night. Pierce has looked bad recently with injuries as well. It's not about how many big shots Ray or Pierce have hit throughout their careers. In fact, Ray has been one of the most insanely clutch shooters I've ever seen, maybe even more than Pierce.
But he's really ineffective right now because of his injured ankles, which makes Pierce the much better option right now.
On the Celtics final possession they had a chance to tie but the refs called a moving screen on KG. Some of my Celtics friends were irate at the call. I tried to tell them it was definitely the right call, KG was moving and clearly impeded the defenders progress and almost knocked him over freeing up Pierce to get the ball. I normally think the refs are awful but I applaud them for making the right call at the end against the home team.
