live in Chicago dont have a favorite NBA team that was a moving screen. Someone said Igoudala wasnt knocked down so what? You want him to flop? KG held him up pretty good.

It had to be called, it directly freed up Pierce, KG moved with Iguadola for two steps.

Rooting for C's because of Ray, but I have no gripe. If you don't call it, you are effecting the outcome because Pierce has a chance at a wide open 3.

I was more mad at the Celtics quitting before the game was over. Ray hit a 3 to cut it to two, and there was only one other player (Dooling, I think) over halfcourt to pressure the inbounds/foul. You're professional athletes and you quit while there's still a chance?

He was called for another moving screen, and he said that Crawford had warned him that they would be calling it. No excuses.

And how many did he set? If they were really going to call it, he would have fouled out by halftime. I would prefer that, to the arbitrary ruling on it.

Like I said, I prefer bad reffing to inconsistent reffing.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like Pierce has ever hit a big shot in his career...

Down 3 with the game on the line you want Paul Pierce Ray Allen taking the shot.

lol @ the celtics homers in this thread.

Blatant moving screen. Should have been called and it was.

be consistent in making the call then. The NBA refs are terrible and let a ton go by without a call. Just makes no sense to make that call then that's all.

A healthy Ray? Definitely. But he's struggled getting open since he came back, and Pierce has proven himself pretty capable of hitting shots with the game on the line.

There's really no way you can complain about a wide-open Pierce jumper.

Makes no sense to make the call then? That should always be called it was blatant, KG almost knocked Iguodola over and it would have directly led to a wide open 3 for Pierce.

Its Ray Allen, he hits 3's that is what he does.

OK, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume that, like 95% of this board, you don't watch the NBA.

KG got away with it last year not this year though

This is exactly what I kept thinking about when the owner of the Hawks called KG a dirty player. This guy gets away with alot of crap and I am thrilled that he's finally being paid attention to. And I heard KG was called for an illegal screen earlier in the game and didn't smarten up.

Yeah, um, I'm gonna go ahead and say I want Pierce taking big shots over Ray right now.

They've both been clutch throughout their careers. And when KG and RayRay joined the C's there was no doubt who was gonna be the go-to guy (Pierce). It's silly to look at one game. They've both missed plenty of big shots in their lengthy careers as well.

Your argument is baseless. I'd rather listen to Stephen A. Smith talk about Tim Tebow than your pathetic attempt at a good point. Although I don't have the stats to back up my point that Ray Allen is a better shooter or has hit more big shots than Paul Pierce I think its fair to assume those stats are accurate and just because you don't have a job and watch Sportscenter three times a day and order retro jerseys and still wear sneakers and fitted hats doesn't make you know a goshdarn thing. You probably drink soda out of a can. Grow up.

This is really a trainwreck of a post.

And I'm not even talking about taking sides in this argument.

Like you, I'm not taking sides either, and I'm a diehard Ray Allen fan. Like I stated, I've seen both Allen and Pierce hit the big shot, I've also seen them miss. Because I love Ray so much, I'd rather see him take the last shot, but I understand if it's Pierce. Today someone can say "I'd rather have Pierce taking big shots over Ray right now." The next game it could be the opposite. They can't hit them all.

I was referring more to the "I don't have stats to back up what I'm saying," something about SportsCenter and throwback jerseys, and the soda out of a can thing. Little sense was made.

It's not about how many big shots Ray or Pierce have hit throughout their careers. In fact, Ray has been one of the most insanely clutch shooters I've ever seen, maybe even more than Pierce.

But he's really ineffective right now because of his injured ankles, which makes Pierce the much better option right now.

He looked good the other night. Pierce has looked bad recently with injuries as well.

On the Celtics final possession they had a chance to tie but the refs called a moving screen on KG. Some of my Celtics friends were irate at the call. I tried to tell them it was definitely the right call, KG was moving and clearly impeded the defenders progress and almost knocked him over freeing up Pierce to get the ball. I normally think the refs are awful but I applaud them for making the right call at the end against the home team.

Is it a moving screen? Heck yeah..................was it the right call NO..........every big guy in the NBA holds his screens and keeps moving EVERYone. They exist throughout games and by every team. It was an awful call by a ref who wanted to be a hero...period!

How in the world was that a foul on Garnett? I've never seen anything like that. An offensive player gets the ball after his man comes off to double, he goes in for a layup, avoids the defender under the basket while that defender smacks both arms down on Garnett's arms, and Garnett is called for a foul?

That's a call that not even a college ref would make. It was a clear foul on the defender.
