UMass fan support has collapsed. Last year, BC averaged 5.5k fans and UMass averaged 3.5k.Syracuse is always top 3 in the nation in attendance. BC gets less fans than UMass.

During a year in which the ACC is worse than the AAC was, no less. There is a very real/likely chance that Cuse's record this year will end up way worse than anything we saw during our AAC dark days.
Of the top of my head, that NIT game. Only time they ever let me in the lower bowl of Gampel. What was the low point for attendance for UConn games in Ollie's final year? I'm way too lazy to look up but did Gampel or XL ever get less than 7k for an Ollie game?
The perfect tri-defectaYou see the bottom of the ACC and you got Cuse, BCU and the Canes. UConn's three biggest backstabbers. Since none of 'em are going anywhere, maybe they can create a trophy between the three of them. So they have something to play for. The Pyrrhic Victory Cup.
Oh yeah. What was the low point for attendance for UConn games in Ollie's final year? I'm way too lazy to look up but did Gampel or XL ever get less than 7k for an Ollie game?
Oh for sure. But if BC was ever decent, alums would care enough to go, and travel into Boston for big games. I don’t see much potential for that in Syracuse, other than relying on a town full of people with nothing better to do to fill the stadium. The perspective I took to make that call was someone who attended BC and stayed in Boston or moved elsewhere in the Northeast. If I went to Cuse, I would need a really good reason to trek back into that dead-end town to suffer through losses; Boston itself is, to me, a fine reason to come back to campus and watch my team loseExcept that nobody outside BC grads cares about BC athletics in Boston. It's a private school and they don't have a wide following. At least that's my experience. Do you get that impression also?
Oh yeah.

I could go on....... I'm sure this is a major reason why Ollie was ultimately let go.
Not sure. I would assume sold tickets since that's what they usually report. But were there really only 3000+ tickets sold to a couple of those Gampel games? I would think there were way more season tickets at Gampel than that so maybe it's actual people there. Anyone else know?Just curious but are those tickets sold or actual attendance?
Has to be tickets sold. By the end of the Ollie era the suits stopped showing up.Just curious but are those tickets sold or actual attendance?
