The fight is within 2 weeks, and now picking up media hype. Who wins ?

I think GGG wins by tko in the 9th. I can see Canelo being quicker to the punch and landing some nice counters early on and winning some of those rounds. But in the end, Golovkin's smart and relentless pressure will be too much and Canelo will absorb a lot of punishment (especially if he hangs out on the ropes like he has been doing lately.)

I think Canelo comes out strong but starts to fade and GGGs relentless pressure wears him down and he finishes Canelo by round 8 to 10.

I think GGG wins by TKO in the late rounds. I can only envision him losing this if it goes 12 rounds as I don't see anyway GGG gets stopped. His chin is world-class (never been down in pro or amateurs). I think GGG's pressure will make the difference.

not to hi-jack, but there's a great card tomorrow on HBO before the 2nd installment of Canelo/GGG 24/7. On paper its my card of the year(the all-154lber card on 10/14 is close), all superflyweights.

This card should be a great warm-up for next week. I think Chocolatito gets his revenge in this one vs Wangek.

A couple years ago I would have taken GGG fairly easily. He is no longer 100% IMO so I see a very close fight. Still have GGG winning but it will be really close.

Here are a couple nice videos of the top 25 punches thrown by each fighter. This is the same person that made the top punches for Floyd/Conor previously.

Yea I had it scored for Chocolatito first time around, I think it will be wider this time unless wear and tear has really caught up to him. Also the US debut of Monster Inoue

I like Canelo by 10, 11th round stoppage. GGG just gets hit too much. Canelo's boxing keeps improving every time out.

Yep, one of my favorites. The plan for the past year + since Chocolatito moved to super FW has been to match them up, HBO getting Inoue to come over on the same card makes it seem like that's next, although the Cuadras/Estrada winner could factor in there as well.

I'll admit, I have not watched those lower weights much since Ricardo Lopez. About 130lbs and up is where I like boxing the most. Although my favorite fight ever was Troy Dorsey vs Kevin Kelley on Tuesday night fights on USA.

Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy always have a judge in the pocket. They are so corrupt and have no shame when they do it. Oscar used to have the same magic happen in his fights even when he lost he would have one judge have in absurdly in his favor. GGG was robbed

Boxing actually has a good night and then swallows its own balls to spite itself.

Such an unsatisfying decision, and really one that seems so transparent. Triple G won that fight, and if he lost it, he certainly did not lose 118-110 as one brain dead idiot scored it. An enjoyable fight with a ridiculous decision that just drives people crazy.

That card was way off but if GGG won the fight he only did so by 1 round, so the draw itself isn't really out of the question. I think too many people take Lederman's card as gospel when he's predisposed to score in favor of whoever is coming forward. I had GGG by 1 round and really the 1st round was the most either/or round. I thought Canelo won 2 and 3 and then 10-12 and had GGG winning 4-9.

Fight kind of lacked any real drama though because it seemed like neither guy could really hurt the other. I think that's pretty much entirely due to both guys having really good chins.

I'm done with the sport. GGG waits over two years before finally getting his moment. He's not the same fighter he was but outboxes Canelo, dictates the fight and gets completely screwed over. He'll be another year older when he has to try and beat a guy for a second time. It was fixed from the start.
