I think too many people take Lederman's card as gospel when he's predisposed to score in favor of whoever is coming forward.

I'm done with the sport. GGG waits over two years before finally getting his moment. He's not the same fighter he was but outboxes Canelo, dictates the fight and gets completely screwed over. He'll be another year older when he has to try and beat a guy for a second time. It was fixed from the start.

Like this guy.

I had Canelo winning the first 3 and the last 3 rounds so the draw was fair for me, I didn't like the route to get there with that 118-110 scorecard tho. As soon as it was announced Byrd was going to be a judge early in the week everyone pretty much saw something like this coming from her, surprised Moretti scored it in GGG's favor considering he had given Canelo far too much credit in the Cotto/Mayweather fights.

I really need to know what Canelo does as far as conditioning during his fight camps, his stamina is awful. You could see him hitting that wall after the strong start and even when he started to catch his 2nd wind the last quarter of the fight he would start off strong and then start to fade in the middle of the round. He needs to change something, I think he could get a clean win against GGG if he could solve his stamina issues, but seeing has how he still has these problems so far into his career I dont see it getting any better.

IMO the issue was simply that he respected GGG's power so much at the start of the fight and burned a ton of energy dancing around in the early rounds. I think he won the last 3 rounds mainly because he realized he could take GGG's power and trade with him. I had shaded slightly toward Canelo for this first fight, but I'm fairly confident he wins the rematch now that he knows he can stand up to GGG's power.

GGG clearly took the fight to Canelo and chased him for most of the fight. This was not a draw... but I kind of expected a bad decision if it went to the cards.

I think GGG should have gone to the body more especially on the ropes and gave too much respect to Canelo. GGG has an iron chin and next should unload more of the power body shots without worrying about the counter as much.

You could wind up and hit GGG in the face with a baseball bat and he'd just look at you like you flicked a pebble at him. His chin is made of granite.

Just another example of why boxing has lost its broad appeal. But then again the top fighters keep getting paid tens of millions of dollars for fights so maybe its following isn't that bad.

8-4 or 9-3 GGG. Another horrible decision that went to the younger more marketable fighter. The odds on this fight being a draw closed at +1600 and very little action goes on that. Vegas made Super Bowl level money on last night's robbery.

Canelo barely threw a punch in the first round. He got jabbed in the face for 3 minutes.

The judge who gave GGG the fight even gave Canelo the first, as did a host of boxing media. Not sure how some of you dudes are acting like a draw is inconceivable, the 118-110 score was bogus, no bleep, but you have respected boxing media like Lance Pugmire, Chris Mannix, George Willis, and Eric Ranskin, guys who have been covering boxing longer than posters who troll on an online message board, that scored it a draw. You would have to give Canelo the benefit of some swing rounds that were not as definitive as GGG dominating the middle rounds, but you can get to 114/114 quite easily.

Very bizarre post. I simply mentioned that Canelo barely threw a punch in the first round and this is totally supported by the round 1 punch stats. I'm not sure how that translates into being a troll? Not everyone agrees on fight outcomes and that's cool, but you are absolutely in the minority on this one. I can give you much more respected boxing names than the ones you listed that thought GGG won convincingly.

Wasn't referring to you as the troll. I'm cool on the names, I've seen em all, just pointing out that there are plenty of respected folks who scored the fight a draw, you'll live.

That fight was going pretty much how i expected up until the 10th round which i thought would never come as i had GGG by Ko in 8 or 9. When it went the distance i was convinced GGG was not going to get the win and would leave with an L. After the first score was announced 118-110 i got up and went to the kitchen to get another beer and some wings. I was surprised to hear draw. GGG should not give an immediate rematch. He should make the fight against BJ Saunders to unify. This would be a good way to build his ppv brand if he could get a big number of sales which he could then set up a rematch after that with Canelo for the undisputed title. He could then negotiate from a position of power and make big money on what will be a highly anticipated rematch.

Only way GGG was winning that fight was if he knocked Canelo's head off. It's sad watching the sport you love continue to destroy itself.

I thought GGG won, but I do not think a draw was an outrageous outcome, the woman's score was outrageous though.

GGG was on the offensive most of the fight which is why some people think GGG won easily, but Canelo out boxed him the first 3 rounds and was aggressive enough in the last 3 to make a draw plausible.

Agreed on GGG trying to get BJS's belt, he could really have that fight by the end of the year and beat him in 8 rounds or less but it probably won't happen due to BJS being a clown. The other downside of not getting a definitive result last night is I wanted to see either of Canelo/GGG match up with one of Charlo/Jacobs next and now we're not getting that anytime soon.

I mean if you actually look at the names on the list there's a bunch of total randoms being presented as having scored for GGG and Mannix + AP both had it a draw. The draw wasn't inconceivable. If the entire fight were judged as a single entity as opposed to 12 rounds then GGG would have won on the cards.
