No one will talk about this because its College baseball but this has to be it Arkansas dropped a pop up down the 1B line even worse a guy on his own team knocked his teammate out of the way, no way was Arkansas able to get up for tonights game with OSU getting a 2nd chance at life. So what is the biggest choke job with a title on the line in a championship game, clinching game. Unfortunately Uconn has had some choke jobs but luckily not with a championship right there (knock on wood).

-18 College World Series as stated above

-Superbowl 51, this might take the cake just stupidity all around because it wasn't just 1 play or 2 all you had to do was use the clock as your alie and credit the pats for the comeback there but you definitely need self inflicted mistakes to screw that one up and the pats took advantage.

-Superbowl 49 passing on 2nd and goal on one inch line with Marshawn Lynch (the Seahawks have never been the same since), great play by Malcolm Butler however.

-86 World Series, not just Buckner but a ton of choke jobs there, the Sox also had a 3-0 lead in game 7.

2008 National Championship MBB, missed fts after missed fts including Derrick Rose and of course leaving into Squid deciding not to foul

2014 NBA finals, Kwahi Leonard missed clinching ft made Rays 3 possible

others not known for any particular plays or mishaps

04 ALCS
03 NLCS
2011 WS
2016 NBA Finals
97 WS

85 World Series - part choke, part bad call. Cardinals up 1-0 in 9th in game 6 up 3-2 for the series. First KC batter should have been called out, but umpire was blocked and called him safe. No way to overturn. Next batter pops up a ball that 1st baseman Jack Clark should have caught and dropped. End of story KC scores 2 in the inning and wins and crushes STL in the 7th game. Hearts ripped out for Cardinal fans and umpire Don Denkinger is forever famous.

All time stupid is JR but that was game 1 Cavs wouldve made it a 6 game series at most were assuming Lebron doesn't punch a wall and hurt himself after game 1 and the Cavs take a game in Cleveland.

Boston U. hockey against PC a few years ago.

They had the game in hand with minutes to play. The goalie made a routine save on a shot from center ice, it was above the frame of the net. He proceeded to bring his glove down and the puck slipped between his legs and into the net. PC snuck out of the coffin and won the game in OT.

Should also add 1987 NBA Eastern Conference Final.

Larry Bird stole the ball. LOL.

Yes, awful play. Just to clarify for those who did not see it, the pop fly was not dropped. Actually wasn't even touched. The Arkansas second baseman called off their first baseman and then overran the ball. Because it was not touched, there was no error on the play. Thus all the runs were "earned" in the official records.

Was thinking that however the Lakers were the best team that year they probably wouldve beaten Detroit, the NBA its easier to bounce back and win a title then any other sport, like the Pistons, Spurs after losing to the Heat, Lebron's heat and cavs, the Mavs after 06 etc. The probability in other sports is much lower due to single elimination and the bounce of the puck in hockey, game of inches in baseball and football (and injuries). The NBA it seems to be a right of passage to win a title other sports you only get one chance pretty much.

Jean Van develde or however you spell his name.

Open Championship was his at Carnoustie needs a double bogey to win. Could have played 7-iron off the and 7-iron in to green. Instead he's ankle deep in a stream and needs to drain a putt for triple bogey to get in a playoff that he loses.

Chin is right - I was scrolling down to add.

It’s Jean van de Velde - his name is even spelled wrong in the You Tube headline.

There also isn’t any guarantee they would have scored even if he knew the game was tied.

Wow so it was even worse then I thought.

This.

BU had the title in a headlock before their goalie threw the puck into his own net.

Can never get enough of beating Dook. Over time you tend to forget how dominate Okafor was and what a truly great and clutch shooter RA was.

I know there are Boston fans here still in pain and you should have won, but this play in WS Game Six with the Red Sox up 3-2, changed the series.

(Disclaimer) The pitcher threw a wild pitch with a runner on base that tied the score right before this:
