You just don't want to have to move your bed. But don't worry, if the money's right, you won't have to.
I plan on renting out my house and moving back in with Mom as soon as I can.

Seagrape in Fairfield... great dump.
We used to go there a ton when it was called The Endzone. Somehow it got the nickname Homeballs amongst our friends, maybe that was its name before Endzone or one of us came up with it, I can’t recall.the bar in newington is also a long time fave. suprisingly good food.
Is that the place that lost their liquor licence and tried to get around by offering free beer with the purchase of a candy bar?We used to go there a ton when it was called The Endzone. I agree with a lot of what your saying. I loved the old one too. The new one is set up perfectly with the upstairs when sports betting inevitably is legalized.
My dive down here is Black Duck in Westport. Really good wings, nachos and burgers but surely a dive.

That reminds me, The Fernwood in WH is the best bar in the state, until 830pm when they kick you out because the last of the senior citizens are done with dinner and they want to close. The guy who came up with homeballs is now a paranoid schizophreniat.
Lol. Then we are talking Matty's Corner in Black Rock. 8AM to 1AM every day.Love the Duck and those uneven floors to the men's room. But I'd consider it more a destination than a dive. IMO, a true "dive" bar has to have a least one guy at the bar who's been there since 10am doing boilermakers.
Most of the true dive bars I used to know have long closed. Except for Burns Tavern on Hamilton Ave in Stamford. I haven't been there in years (but I do recall smoking inside as late as five years ago) and I'd imagine even now they probably consider Sam Adams too exotic.

Free spirit=menopause palaceLabyrinth? Just went there for the first time and enjoyed it. Hungry Tiger is one of my favorite dives. Free spirit is the best if we’re talking serious dives. Wrinkle ranch for life
New Bobby V's? Lived in Stamford 79-86 and emptied many beer bottles in Bobby V'sNothing comes close to the new Bobby V’s in Stamford. Second I would say Hanging Hills.
haven't been up there, same look? Does it have its own bar?

Edit: I recently saw a Bobby V's somewhere where I thought it shouldn't be? Places I have been to recently: Worcester MA, Myrtle Beach, SC, Roanoke Rapids, NC
I'm sure there are many I liked even more than some mentioned but forgot lolToads Place...Great bands and $1 Gin Gimlets back in the day.
Captains Cove in Bridgeport...Great p/u joint back in the 80’s
It has its own bar as well as OTB with windows and screens for horse racing already in place. They’re advocating hard for sports betting. The place was taken over by Sport Tech ventures.
It's just "Dutch Tavern," not "Dutch's." Great bar. I love the room. Peter the owner is a great guy, and he makes a very good, basic burger, among other things. Also a proper pour of Guinness, and one of very few bars where you can still play pinball.Dutch's Tavern in NL where Eugene O'Neill hung out.

Seen so many great shows for decades at Toads, but I really don't like the bar. It still smells like a monkey house like it has for the past 40 years, and I don't think they have cleaned the tap lines since then.I wish I could give you 1,000 likes for TOADS

OMG this is so difficult and it probably shouldn't be.
