OT: Belichick to UNC ??

We also have UNC on the schedule for 2026 and 2027 (who knows if they'll remain on the skeds or even become conference games at that point?). Is it even money BB would still be there for 2027?

It was more than Mac
To be fair having Mac Jones and Cam Newton doesn't help
It was more than Mac and Cam:
Mac Jones Patriots 18-24
Vinnie Testaverde Browns 17-16
Bernie Kosar Browns 11-18
Matt Cassel Patriots 10-5
Cam Newton Patriots 7-8
Drew Bledsoe Patriots 5-13
Mike Tomczak Browns 4-4
Bailey Zappe Patriots 4-4
Jimmy Garoppolo Patriots 2-0
Mark Rypien Browns 2-1
Todd Philcox Browns 2-3
Jacoby Brissett Patriots 1-1
Eric Zeier Browns 1-3
Brian Hoyer Patriots 0-2

I’m gonna go out in a limb and say UNC is going to do pretty well in the transfer portal this year.
They may not have enough players to play the bowl game and have a skeleton roster like Florida State last year. (Georgia 63, FSU 3).... BB is trying to lay the groundwork for Steve. Didn't work w/ Lou/Skip Holtz don't think it's work this time. Love Belichick but wish he'd stayed with the TV stuff where he is exceeding expectations

I don't think Brady would have been Brady without Belichick. You can do the same with Parcell's. Parcell's didn't win anything without Belichick. But in reality to be a good coach, you need good players.

Brady won a SB without Bill. Bill can't say the same. It was always Tom.

Another way to look at it is, having the great QB of all time doesn't hurt.
It also hurt that after Brady left, McDaniels and O'Brien kept leaving for other jobs and he made the absolute mind boggling decision to make Matt Patricia the OC. Towards the end, BB was no different than PP; great coach but too loyal to his friends.

That was a head scratcher for sure, but it was his call. I'm a Pats fan going back to Andre Tippet and Ronnie Lippet. Bill was great but Tom was the GOAT. Went to Tampa and proved who was the straw that stirred the drink. Without Tom, Bill got fired.
