This will be incredible:

Maybe the lesson for Baylor (and programs like Baylor) is that they be terminated from the Big 12 and placed on the death penalty for a period of 5 years. Then the B12 expansion can be Houston, Cincy AND UConn. Problem solved.

But you know Baylors punishment will be minimal if anything.

Seriously. That place sounds like a slime pit that was willing to do anything to win in football. I think they also have and attitude that women belong in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant. You hire Kenny Starr as your president you deserve everything you get though. But the NCAA isn't doing anything about this. After mucking up the Penn State debacle they will stay as far away from Waco as it's possible to stay.

Baylor Details ‘Horrifying’ Alleged Sexual Assaults by Football Players (You may need to google the title (Baylor Details ‘Horrifying’ Alleged Sexual Assaults by Football Players) to get past WSJ paywall.)

>>The sexual-violence scandal at Baylor University that cost its celebrated football coach his job involved 17 women who reported sexual or domestic assaults involving 19 players, including four alleged gang rapes, since 2011, according to Baylor regents.<<

I think this will end the "Hey - let's give Art Briles a chance" thoughts anywhere for a while!

Supposedly stands for "Champions Are Built" but...

WSJ: NCAA Won’t Pursue Penn State-Like Punishment for Baylor

>>With Baylor University at war with itself over the firing of its football coach in the wake of a sexual-assault scandal, this qualifies as good news: The NCAA is not planning to bring the hammer down on Baylor the way it did Penn State.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association has notified Baylor that it won’t exert its executive authority to impose sweeping sanctions against the school for broad institutional failings, and will instead follow its normal investigative process, according to people familiar with the matter.

The program still faces a more narrow NCAA probe, even as it copes with the increasingly messy aftermath of its decision in May to fire popular football coach Art Briles.<<

Different rules apply for each circumstance I guess. Unless the NCAA isn't even gonna bother because a Title IX violation is being readied by the Feds and will basically make athletics non-exsistant.

The NCAA is basically controlled by the P5 now due to the autonomy vote. This is why nothing will happen to No Carolina or Baylor.

If Petrino leaves UL I would expect Briles to land there. Probably have to wait until next year but he would fit right in with the culture
