Several momentum swings back and forth, but nobody can get any separation in this game. Oregon up 43-42 after 3Q.

Hebard, Sabally and Gildon are all on the floor for the Ducks. I don't think they've used that combination very often.

Back to back 3's by UCLA, up 48-45.

Hebard has really come alive in the second half. Hebard vs. Billings is a nice battle.

Oregon briefly went up 1, but UCLA could have a 5 point possession (and-1, missed the FT, got the O board, then another and-1).

And-1 on the other end for Ionescu. This hasn't been a great game, but shaping up for a good finish. 55-54 UCLA, just under 6 minutes left.

.-.
She's a good player but I don't exactly love the way she plays the game.

I've always been somewhat skeptical about her as a draft prospect, but some people are crazy about her.

Billings w/ 20 pts. on 7-15 shooting, Hebard w/ 19 on 8-11. Another TO for the Ducks. UCLA up 57-54 and will have the ball after the final media time out.

She's had a lot more of an impact since I posted that. I think she'll be a good pro. She certainly has a good fell for the game, and piling up triple doubles the way she does is quite unique.

edited--too many TO's for her today though, she's a bit rattled

None of the refs must be able to count to 3. Billings has been in the key the past three trips about 8-10 seconds

Free throws....................

Hebard w/ 19, Cazorla w/ 15, Ionescu w/ 13. The other 2 starters have 4 each, and only 1 point off the bench. Not enough balance for Oregon. I can't even remember the last shot attempt for Bando. She's been completely invisible.

.-.
Cazorla has been abusing UCLA when she gets a big on her on the perimeter.

Oregon w/ a chance to take the lead again, Sabally shooting FTs after grabbing an O board.

Hold on.... I was talking about Canada. I'm high on Ionescu.

63-59 Oregon, Bando nails a big 3.

UCLA missed at least 3 shots from point blank range on their last possession.

Oops. Never mind my post then. I'm not gonna make any predictions about Canada.

UCLA had all the chances in the world.... I mean use the back board if you have to. Too many bunnies missed.

.-.
Bando must've heard me. Scored the last 5 points. 65-59 Ducks.

UCLA has gone ice cold, mostly in the lane. More FTs for Oregon to add to the lead.

Announcers are terrible. One just declared Bando the best 3 pt shooter in the country and then said she is making 45%! WHAT????????

Well they are Pac 12 homers. However I have heard that Bando has the highest career 3 point shooting % among all active players.

Pac 12 standings are a bit surprising after 4 games. Oregon and Arizona St. tied at 4-0. Stanford and Utah at 3-1. UCLA, Cal, Oregon St. and Colorado in a logjam at 2-2. The Washington schools, Arizona and USC quickly falling behind the leaders at either 1-3 or 0-4.

Ionescu padding her scoring numbers w/ FTs, Canada fouled out. 70-61. UCLA missing more FTs and point blank shots on their last possession.

What happened to UCLA’s No.1 freshman class? It was much heralded and it should at least climb atop pac12 before their graduation.

How Oregon's Lexi Bando became one of college basketball's best shooters

In case anyone is curious - career 3 point FG% of UConn players:
Diana - 39.2%
Kaleena - 44.7%
Lou - 41.7%
Maya - 40.4%
Kia - 42.9%
Svet - 40.6%

Bando's numbers are darned impressive.

Totally agree with you, given the fact that she's hoisted up 500+ shots to achieve that 45.6% mark. I looked at the NCAA records to see how folks did over a season in D1 and found this chart for (more) comparison:

THREE-POINT FIELD-GOAL PERCENTAGE (based on qualifiers for annual championship) Player, Team Season G 3FG 3FGA Pct.
Heather Donlon, Fordham........................................... †1990 29 50 87 *57.5
Kathy Halligan, Creighton............................................ †1992 32 72 130 55.4
Alicia Ratay, Notre Dame.............................................. †2001 36 81 148 54.7
Jill Morton, Louisville...................................................... †2000 27 69 129 53.5
K.C. Cowgill, Missouri St................................................ †2005 33 74 139 53.2

One reason for doing this,I'll admit ;) , was to see how ND's Alicia Ratay ("the silent assassin") ranked in total records. I once saw her drill 7 of 7 against Rutgers (at the RAC), where concentration is sometimes a tough thing. Even with Maddie Cable, Kmac and the Mabreys, Ratay is the gold standard for Irish 3-point bombing.

Yes--to both.
