Oregon needs to win to keep pace w/ Arizona St. for the conference lead. If UCLA wins there will be a 4 way tie for 2nd place at 3-1.

Now 7-0. UCLA not looking very good.

.-.
UCLA still hasn't score 6 1/2 minutes into the game. Oregon isn't exactly playing well either. 9-0.

UCLA has no idea how to run a half court offense.

UCLA getting some transition buckets, just like that it's 11-8.

TO's starting to pile up for Oregon. At the beginning of the game they were handling UCLA's pressure but they're unraveling now.

This is pretty ugly but sort of exciting cause its not UConn. Now if it was UConn playing this ugly I'd be pissed.

.-.
UGLY first quarter. Oregon leading 11-8. Poor shooting by both teams.

Oregon had 9 TO's in the first quarter! They might actually make Oregon St.'s 27 TO's today look good by comparison.

UCLA is shooting sub 20% so far. Amazing they aren't getting blown out. 15-10 Ducks, UCLA shooting FTs.

20-13 Oregon, 5:21 left. Ionescu, Canada and Billings have all been fairly quiet so far. Hebard has a couple buckets. Similarly to the USC game, Cazorla is leading the way for the Ducks.

While I was typing that Oregon stretched the lead to 24-13, will be shooting an and-1 FT after the media TO.

UCLA has no idea how to run a half court offense.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised when Cori Close was mentioned by some on the "best coaches other than Geno" thread. On paper they probably have more talent than anybody in the conference on a regular basis, but have continually been an inconsistent team that struggles to win on the road. I don't see anything resembling great coaching from her.

I remember when they got that great recruiting class and now they are all seniors but they still can't run an effective offense after playing 3 years together. Talent can only take you so far. So they either never learned to run one or aren't follong instructions.

UCLA is roaring back. From down 25-13 they've closed to 26-23. Oregon starting to turn it over in bunches again. Billings starting to get it going.

This Ionescu vs. Canada showdown isn't really materializing. Both are struggling.

The commentator saying these turnovers aren't hurting Oregon.... uhhh yeah they are because they aren't extending their lead and if UCLA ever does start hitting shots under 30 points a half might not cut it.

27-23 Oregon leading at the half. This game is not very pleasing to the eyes so far.

I mean it sucks to be down at the half at home but if you are only shooting 25% and only down 4 you gotta be pretty happy you aren't blown out.

Oregon shooting 33% w/ 12 TO's. UCLA shooting 26%.

.-.
A bit better shooting to start the 2nd half. UCLA shooting FTs w/ a chance to take their first lead of the game. 31-30 UO.

34-31 UCLA, first lead of the game on a 3 from Dean.

Ionescu is just having a bad game all around. Can't shoot, too many TO's, not many assists, at least she's rebounding the ball.

Canada has scored 11, but only 4-11 from the floor, she takes some really wild shots. She's a good player but I don't exactly love the way she plays the game.

2 straight buckets for Ionescu and Oregon back up 36-34.

If she played just a little bit smarter she would be 6 for 11 on the night. Sometimes she is looking for the foul or spectacular play instead of sticking to some fundamentals. If she would give herself an extra half second every now and then she wouldn't be attempting some of the wild shots she attempts.

LOL #44 from Oregon is getting away with A LOT of shots to the neck, she isn't even trying to rebound shes just in there to shove people.
