You're joking right? He was a long rage shooter, specifically inserted for that purpose. And correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't he an integral part of a little something called a "National Championship"?Rashad Anderson averaged .8 assists his entire career. Most selfish guard I've ever seen in a UConn uniform.
Cant argue with stats.. Btw he shot 40.2 % so who ever said hes in to get buckets i hope he can at more of a success this year ..but damn a guard who does worse than a mediocre center at getting assists , am i missing something here?
You're a train wreck. Seriously, lay off the booze and go to bed.Not one person here has said "no he isnt selfish" so my title is corect

Yea he was great hopefully if omar ends up like him in regards to assists, that he can shoot even close to rashads shootingYou're joking right? See everyone deep down agrees and is saying to themselves wow i didnt realise this. Dont hate the messanger who opened ur eyes.doesn't mean you aren't trolling this board
sorry, my sarcasm meter was off. lolYes, was trying to make the same point you were.
Was it just coincidence he shot just over 40% ...was he forcing a shot more than he should?
I was just playing all of youThis is a beyond stupid thread. Either the basketball IQ is very low from OP or we have all been played.
he is actually a pass first team player the apg average being lower than olander is just a flukeI hope so...either that or id like for 45%+He was a freshman who took the majority of his shots from outside. That percentage will go up.
Answer this simple question...is omar a team player ? Look at the stats and answer honestly.
Wow ..good post, i can admit to the fact that u sir brought up a good point.Omar Calhoun committed to Uconn before we were banned from the post season. Before he knew Jim Calhoun was retiring and before we knew who the replacement would be, yet he still stuck with Uconn. So yes, he is a team player.

This guy is going to be insufferable this season.
Yes, he is. I know the mods pride themselves on the latitude they give people here - and that's awesome - but it's been obvious for awhile now that this dude's a pure troll. He's been playing a game of mixing posting decent stuff with being a jackarse. The jackarse piece is going to take control as we go into the season and it's going to drive us nuts to no purpose other than his amusement. Please ban him. People come here to discuss UConn basketball, not to have their blood pressure raised for no reason. It's not like he'll suffer, I'm pretty sure he's someone's alter ego.
im glad that ive made such an impression. I come posting facts, you come all heated who keeps typing the word troll. Btw what have you contributed to this board...i suggest u do some fact checking (omars stats and my previous threads) then come back with an apology. Thank you come again.troll on
opened my eyes? like you worrying about how someone on this board bought non UConn tickets to a mohegan sun game?
or how about toilet paper?
I take my time to send the kid some fan mail which he seemed to like...why havent more of us.He already sent Daniel Hamilton a piece of fan mail to his high school. Lord knows what was in that letter.

He already sent Daniel Hamilton a piece of fan mail to his high school. Lord knows what was actually in that letter.
-If- and ill say it again..if i sent the kid pics of myself then yes thats creepy. I sent him a letter saying thanks for choosing uconn work hard and asked for a auto which im not gonna do anything with to boost his ego a bit..im sure any kid would like fan mail..actually the reason i sent it was because he was stoked at getting some too bad only a few fans sent somethingBecause it would be creepy.

Am i doing something wrong? Im postings stats and generating some discussion albeit lopsided for some miraculous reason...im not breaking any rules...btw noone has posted facts that state otherwise besides david and caw...instead of adding to the discussion you all just yell troll troll ur an idiot ur stupid this thread is stupid etcDONT FEED TROLLS!!!!
mods, please intervene.
The most sensible post ive seen here, thank youOmar shot
99-246 overall (40.2)
43-134 from three (32.1)
56-112 from two (50.0)
80-106 from ft line (75.5)
In the final two games he played, with a bad wrist, he was 2-21, 2-15.
Take away those two games and he was:
97-225 (43.1)
41-119 (34.4)
56/106 (52.8)
While he wasn't Rashad Anderson, he was shooting at a decent clip for a freshman before the injuries really hit him.
As for his passing, it was something he needs to work on, though it's not the easiest thing to get an assist on the wing with no legit post presence. The only real options for assists were on the break, passing back to Boat/Napier in a position where they would shoot or a drive and dish (and hoping Olander or someone could finish). Ollie didn't put him on spots on the floor to get assists and wasn't asking him to do so.
Selfish isn't the right word for it. Assists don't capture selfishness.
Rip played some point as a freshman when Moore was suspended. Ray had Donyell to feed.
