"I'm sorry, Boneyarders! I have failed you! I will now resign, drive to Calhoun's house, and beg on my hands and knees until he comes out of retirement! I am not worthy!"

Totally unapologetic and downplayed the technical. I mean, it's fine, but it kinda makes me a little mad. He should acknowledge his dumb and costly move.

That's the single worst thing I've heard come out of his mouth since he took over as head coach.

As Jerry said it was only a point. But the bog difference which KO will eventually remember is they got the fans back in it in a huge way and the time taken for all the FT's hurt, not necessarily the 1 point but the loss of momentum.

It was dumb and it was costly. Still, I appreciate the passion.

Ollie totally underestimates how much that technical killed UConn's momentum. MD was on the ropes at that point.

3+ years in, Ollie still has no clue how to manage the officials throughout a game.

I don't know about "no idea" because I'm not a boastful enough to pretend I'm an expert, but I thought Ollie needed a T in the first half when we were down 20 and seemed to get no calls our way

I want to see the fire start burning in him, not as brutally as it did in Calhoun maybe, but I want that passion to defend his guys to the zebras

Yep. But if they won, he would be considered a genius for giving the team the spark they needed.
Lol, no. Coaches don't typically try to give their teams a spark that late in the game, especially after they gained momentum for the first time all night.

They already had the spark. They had literally just cut a 20 point lead down to 3. It doesn't get sparkier than that. Had they won the game after KO's T I don't think there's a person alive who would attribute the "spark" to the technical that came at the end of the 20 point comeback.

There have been dozens of times in the past 3+years where I wanted KO to get angry and draw a tech. Last night when the team was finally playing better was not one of those times. It didn't cost us the game, but it sure as heck didn't help.

If he wanted to change momentum, he should have got one in the first half. but for me I thought he should have lit up our guards for the atrocious defensive play. 2 dribbles and our guards are behind the dribbler. Layups and dunks.

It did cost us only 1 point - we lost by 10
