I mean, she's got a lot of time before her decision has to be made. Most recruits have a long list of schools they consider. Maybe she is a lean towards us, maybe she isn't. There are other schools that appeal to her, and she probably doesn't want to commit almost 2 years earlier than she has to.I'm a bit discouraged by the Big O's lengthy list of schools.........it's always been my belief that she was a big UConn lean and that it was just a matter of time before she signed with Geno without having to go through the usual multi-school recruiting process.........regardless, I'm still hopeful that she'll make the right choice and become part of the UConn family in the end......
Yeah I wonder if it’s just because she has such a long wait before she’s actually in college. Think about Sarah Strong, she didn’t want to close off any possibilities so she visited a lot of schools just to make sure UConn was the right one. Could be a similar situation with Olivia Vukosa. With such early interest in UConn, several unofficial visits already, and her being a UConn fan as a child, I would say that UConn still has to be a front runner.I mean, she's got a lot of time before her decision has to be made. True. Sarah is a recruit I would've used as an example as somebody who had a (secret) lean towards UCONN but visited a bunch of other schools before making the decision. Vukosa is weighing her options.Yeah I wonder if it’s just because she has such a long wait before she’s actually in college. I just see it as her slowly trimming it down. I imagine this list will be cut in half in the coming months and will be lacked in on 4-5 schools when it comes to decision time fall of next yearI'm a bit discouraged by the Big O's lengthy list of schools.........it's always been my belief that she was a big UConn lean and that it was just a matter of time before she signed with Geno without having to go through the usual multi-school recruiting process.........regardless, I'm still hopeful that she'll make the right choice and become part of the UConn family in the end......
UConn staff came to Olivia’s open gym yesterday!
Looks like Big O was at Ohio State this weekend. Hope to see her at First Night in a couple weeks!
Please read the post tacked to the top of the board re: individual threads for each recruit
The prefix, e.g 2026 Recruiting is from a pull down menu just to the left of the box where you type the thread title

I really like Bilic's game......a very aggressive slasher.......no idea if it will matter but it certainly doesn't help......Olivia Vukosa (class of 2026) plays with Lena Bilic (class of 2025) on the
Croatian National Team. I just noticed that Ms. Bilic, a small forward, has
signed on with UCLA WBB for next year. With the chemistry that does exist between
Lena and Olivia does anyone on the BONEYARD feel this could be an influence on Olivia
decision next year? My thought is "NO". But they do play VERY well
together. GO OLIVIA, COME TO STORRS!
Just for an idea of their "chemistry": The Fiba webpage lists Lena Bilic at 6'3"/190 cm , born MayI really like Bilic's game......a very aggressive slasher.......no idea if it will matter but it certainly doesn't help......
Nike NY vs NY Girls Championship
The competition took place between August 10 and 12 in Victory Park, under the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Also attached is the final match featuring Olivia Vukosa lining up for Team Dickman and the YouTube channel where I found the video, a must-see for all women's basketball fans.

Don't be too discouraged. In the NIL era it's a technique for building her brand. She will now have fans of 16 schools following her. I'm surprised it wasn't 20 schoolsI'm a bit discouraged by the Big O's lengthy list of schools.........it's always been my belief that she was a big UConn lean and that it was just a matter of time before she signed with Geno without having to go through the usual multi-school recruiting process.........regardless, I'm still hopeful that she'll make the right choice and become part of the UConn family in the end......
Interesting........I never considered that strategy.........I guess I'm stuck in the past........Don't be too discouraged. In the NIL era it's a technique for building her brand. She will now have fans of 16 schools following her. I'm surprised it wasn't 20 schools
