Very close first half. The main thing that stands out to me is that SC runs good offense for only about 5-7 seconds in any possession. then it instantly devolves into a 1 on 1 offensive set by one of the guards, OR they dump the ball into the post and let the post player battle for a hoop. Not really much ball movement or offensive flow designed to get the other team out of position and get an easy shot for their offense. so many of their shots are higher degree of difficulty.

Side note - I've seen SC play about 4 games so far this year so this is not the first time I've noticed this. I will be really curious to see how each team runs offense when they meet next week...

SC's shut-down defense seems to be something they can just 'call up' when they need it. Well, at least against Miss. We'll see about that Monday I guess.

In other news, MD beats IA after the Hawkeyes led most all of the first half. It was a game wherein both teams could get on the bus thinking, "If not for all the really dumb turnovers, we would have won and it wouldn't have been close."

Final: 93-88. Two-point game into the final minute.

So I guess Im still arrogant with my prediction UConn by 20+ maybe 25+ next week. I mean Miss. making a game of it. Well I try to speak the truth and what I believe to be the truth sometimes Im wrong and sometimes I offend people but those of you who know me know I don't lie. So I will stick to my guns and continue to believe UConn will win.

Thanks Zorro "Z" I loved that show. Hey I don't think Miss. is much better then Temple or East Carolina and to have a close game with them tells me UConn will Roll. UConn wasn't really sharp today against Temple and won by over 30. For SC fans get ready because this is not gonna be close unless there are at least 40 fouls called on UConn. Next season UConn is reloading with 3 terrific freshman and a 6'5 soph transfer who averaged a double double in the Big East. It aint getting any easier to play UConn.
