Folks trashed Taliek's play but I remember posts about "Rickety" Moore.
UMFan, aka Deepster's brother from another mother.
Another great old time Yard moment was the voting machine. Again, the details there are fuzzy after the years, but that was one of the first times I remember thinking things online could be manipulated pretty easily.
Anybody know anything about UConnHenry. Last time I saw him was at Rentschler probably 10 years ago. Now that I am typing this
I am sorta afraid to ask....

I know I don’t have all the details right, but I think UMFan or someone else from that board was legitimately threatening people at some point. And I think Tom or Fishy found the IP address of the postings and they were from a workplace and they contacted (or threatened) to contact the employer.

I know I can't believe anyone would "trash" with of these guys. That's crazy!
It actually happens quite often.
It's almost a right of passage where the Boneyard's collective wisdom finds a player to beat up for the length of the season. This player, amazingly enough, is never the same player who is in the coach's doghouse.
Even players who have been clean off the court and productive on the court have fallen in to this category.
That’s ashame.
Another recurring historical hilarity on this board is posters failing to notice sarcasm of other posters. OMFG it can get out of hand.
Tangentially, there's the old chestnut where somebody throws out the "...germans bombed pearl harbor" reference and some guy corrects him.

I don't think it was UMFan. It was a guy named Rob Wilbanks. He changed his handle on the umess board several times. It was Captain Rah Rah at some point. He was a big fan of Bruiser. Hence the name. He threatened some people. One of them contacted his employer, in Atlanta, where he was posting from. He threatened to sue. Even other umess fans turned on him.I know I don’t have all the details right, but I think UMFan or someone else from that board was legitimately threatening people at some point. Was it in a premium thread or something? That thread was amazing.I've searched the wayback machine many times to find that thread. It was the best ever on the Boneyard. If anyone ever finds an archive they may surpass fishy and TCF for likes.
I propose that a sarcastic post be typed in italics to avoid the posting hundreds of meaningless posts that respond in horror or ridicule..Wait...what?? There's sarcasm here??
