OL Matt Peart Senior Bowl.....

Odd how one calls him technically skilled with good footwork and techniques while another calls him raw.
He is not raw. This is a very experienced player. To some degree almost all NFL rookies are "raw". A lot of it depends on the system a team plays. If an offensive lineman is not asked to do certain things in college, say reach blocking or getting to the second level then you could call him raw. And no one on the Senior Bowl field has played against an NFL defense, they all have much to learn. Different scouts have different opinions depending what they are looking for. That's to be expected. But in Peart's case, he is fundamentallly sound.

>> 87. MATT PEART, OT, UCONN
Possessing elite-level grades at each facet, Peart was by far the Huskies' best player in 2019. He finished the year with an 86.0 pass-blocking grade after giving up just seven total pressures on his 415 pass-blocking snaps. Peart also had a 90.1 run-blocking grade, the fourth-highest in the country, while he was one of only six tackles with elite grades in all facets this year.<<

Matt Peart is making himself some money this week with his practices. The coaches watch practices and put more into them than game day. I still think he is not worse the a day two pick, when teams need tackles to protect their investments.

This makes him sound like a pretty elite tackle, no?

Missed out on the fan grip and grin today but I'll be at game tomorrow.

Peart was an alternative mention on SNY Jets blog for senior bowl players to watch. Not a Jets fan, but I'm guessing if he got drafted by the Jets hes a started by the end of next season

He played 2nd and 4th qtr. Looked real strong last drive of the game in both pass blocking and run blocking.

Tailgate scene pre and post game are significant. This stack of speakers was up on top of the plywood which housed the amps and power supplies.

I have no inside info but I think he ends up going in round two as of now as a player who can play RT and flip to LT later on in his career. He had a shout out today on a running play which was nice to hear towards the end of the game.

He's getting a lot of praise from scouts from the moment he was selected for the Senior Bowl. I think with this great outing in the bowl and a solid combine showing, he's easily mid first round.

With no Patrick Mahomes ahead of him, I'm thinking he could go Overall Number One...............:D
