Yeah, ok, tell us more about a thing you know nothing about. First, Lake Ontario does not ever freeze over. And "lake effect" is the only reason CNY gets more snow than CT, though even then, like I said NOT ALWAYS. Winter was a breeze in CNY this year. Certainly not at all different than CT.

Sure, some years there's a decent amount of lake effect snow. And ? Wah. Especially for a college kid, in this case living on campus in Syracuse. Almost identical to the weather in Storrs.
Maybe on drugs when in Storrs and Cuse stupid has taken a hold on you but I would bet my house and retirement accounts that it snows more in CNY than Storrs on a Yearly average more than 75% of the time. It is nothing like Storrs.

See my post above

But this got me thinking more, how many places in the COUNTRY get more snow than Finger Lakes State? I was surprised at how big an idiot @HuskyBaggins actually is lmaoooo

Do we really need all of this negativity on game day? Not good for the mojo.

Pretty lame that we have a final four game hours away and this thread is at the top of the board. Maybe look in the mirror for the "unintended hilarity".

Having trouble finding all the Final Four related threads?

Thanks for ironically bumping the thread lmao

Lmao you really aren’t too bright, kid. Maybe the stupid is contagious in Southern Canada

{A bunch of data giving a dose of reality to HuskyBaggins}
It's not just the cold and snow. The entire area is a barren, depressing pisshole.

When the school eventually circles the drain, they won't even be able to convert it into some kind of casino/low-end retail the way Bethlehem, PA did. CNY is the pits; no one will want to travel there.

He basically stated that he'd rather be in Syracuses shoes than ours- even after Monday.

he'd rather potentially win another natty than actually win one is the way I'm taking this. Thought it would brighten your already joyous day.

I think we should put the Cuse rivalry to bed. It no longer makes sense

If you asked them this question, what would the answer be:

Would you go back to the BE if you were guaranteed 2 NC in the next 10 years or stay in the ACC and not win one for the next 20

As long as our fanbases dislike one another we will always be rivals. From a success standpoint no they can't sit at our lunch table. I'm onto the next phase of our dominance where we leap Duke and catch UNC, Kentucky.

The Rutgers board is also going through it - apparently Hurley said he would take the job when they hired Pike but only with a 7 year contract and they wouldn’t do it.

There is a long post in one of the threads basically saying that the potential of being good one day in football and basketball due to Big 10 money is way better than being UConn because our achievements are in the past (despite winning a natty the day before the post, and also sweeping them in baseball last weekend) and we will never be able to sustain success in anything bc our football isn’t good (ignoring we have won 2 titles since Edsall 1.0)

the conference badge is all they have, so yeah they're going to lean hard on it
which is so very satisfying to see because they also realize the ACC is already on borrowed time. the SEC and BIG10 poaching the ACCs top brands and football programs (e.g. ND, UNC, UVA, FSU, Miami, Clemson) is a matter of when not if.

BB in the Big East is great! Playing at MSG is special. Playing in another conference would not be as good for BB but the additional revenue would greatly help the Athletic Department

If I were throwing shots (and I guess I am), there were reasons why Brent got "Axed". But anyway . . .

The realignment question was always tricky for me.
PROs: Football money to help fund the athletic dept.
CONs: Pretty much everything else - Loss of rivalries, fan interest, entertainment value . . .

I ask myself, "Why do schools sponsor sports?". I'm not sure what the goal is anymore.

100% people see money as an end game in and of itself. I love Uconn but don't really care if they have money in the coffers but non-competitive teams on the field. Same reason why I don't support pork barrel, do nothing projects that make politicians and a few others rich. What does that do for me?

Just what is it that makes them "a proud member of the ACC"?

Is it like being a walk-on and having pride in how well you help the regular players prepare for big games?

Fact check. Beating them in baseball is easy. They don’t have a baseball program.

Yes, this. It’s absurd. For non-profit institutions, money is never an end game in and of itself. Money is important — often critically important — for what it helps you achieve, but that is its purpose. It’s the achievement that matters, with money being a tool to get there. Anyone focusing on tools rather than achievements is literally a genius.

That doesn’t mean, of course, you wouldn’t rather have more money going forward. Everything else being equal, of course you would
