Yeah I mean - to me this is just kind of the total writing on the wall game. Rivalry games have a way of doing that.
Recruiting isn't good because what gets here isn't very good. What gets here that is good isn't made much better, if at all. Yep, it's the talent. Yep, it's the energy. Yep, it's the coaching.
I mean jeez this team looked so jacked up for tonight. And in like 3 minutes you could see every kid on that court just with the look of 'we shouldn't be here, should we...' It's hard for Ollie to keep kids up for a pounding like this where super long dudes are just dunking and rebounding over you at will.
Where it comes back on Ollie... I mean dude how many times are they going to Larrier in the paint and having it not work? Why were Diarra, Cobb and Larrier not playing together? Why can't Diarra be on the court the same time as Cobb? Why is Polley even playing more than 3-4 minutes a game at this point? Why are content to work the zone instead of getting out ahead of it? Every wrong adjustment they can make they make. Every redundantly bad thing they can do, they do. They don't seem prepared for Syracuse, they don't seem to have more than 2 or 3 things in the playbook...
It's just a mess.
