Growing up we always heard "UConn." For me it was kind of strange hearing "Connecticut" because we just never referred to the school that way. Eventually I grew to prefer Connecticut and then we went back to officially being UConn. "Connecticut" also has much more of a B1G feel to it.

I have that ray ray with his signature unfortunately I was that kid that didn't know what he had and wore it so it's not in great condition but love that jersey.

I have the #34 jersey, I bought when I was in high school.

As a fan who came of age in the late 90s early 00s that side piping is a huge part of the UConn identity! It’s up there with UNC’s argyle if you ask me.

There are good elements but there are definitely things they should have done differently.

I disagree. Think most people from the outside are very impressed. The Syracuse board even mentioned they were a little jealous. I think they look terrific. They don’t look great stand alone but on the players they look awesome. Bear in mine there will be up to 4 jerseys this year including some awesome alternates.
