Official Men's Hockey Recruiting Thread

Muldowney goes / went to my daughters' school so I caught him playing several games. One of the few kids who played prep through high school.

The funny thing is that many of the kids stick around the school because they are in and out of playing for the Junior Sabres. But the Jr. Sabres ban them from playing school hockey so... Nichols ends up getting some good players by default.

3 of the US Olympic hockey women are from Nichols.

Brooks Orpik and Chris Mueller (NHL players) are from the school. The gymnasium is called the Laettner gym, named after the donor, Nichols alumni, and famous Duke grad, but parents just call it the Laet, because the school built it after he pledged the money, then he lost a ton of $ in a real estate fiasco, and only more than a decade later honored the pledge.

In answer to the question who could have seen this happen, my response is virtually everyone who was paying attention. Drafted and soon to be drafted players signing up to come to Storrs. Well done Cav and Staff. You are doing us proud.

I’ve put together an updated roster grid. Obviously, between the transfer portal and the unknown timing as to when incoming recruits will begin their UConn careers, it’s subject to change.

At a minimum two defensemen from the portal.

I would like to see a high end forward be brought in.

Not sure if he'll use it because he's 24 years old now, but Lucas has the COVID year option
