Official Kick the Knights Game Thread

Head bang

It takes almost 7 minutes for UCF to score their first basket. And when they do...

they're just down one.
 
Now they have 8 points in 2 minutes and lead.
 
Durham with a double -5 point play in the first ten minutes.

Airball turnaround J leads to a 3.

Missed layup on the feed from Adams leads to a 3.
 
And Vital with the -5 point play. Missed layup leads to transition 3.
 
Finally some points at the rim by a big. We knocked their giant out of the game about an hour ago, and we can't seem to score around the hoop unless it's Jalen on a blow by...
 
Jalen could have at least 3 assists so far if his teammates weren't allergic to layups.

But honestly, his progression as a point guard this here has been astounding. It's a good sign for next year, when he'll have more experience and weapons around him.

I think Jalen being top 6 nationally in all of D1 in APG with this unreliable of an offensive supporting cast is one of the most impressive statistical standouts this season in CBB, but it will also attract NBA scouts like flies.
 
Of course it hit the rim. They just stole away an easy layup...
