bad FT shooting allowed it to be so close.

.

I think three front ends missed in a row...Uconn seems to have gone from basically the best FT shooting team in the nation (last championship, WOW) to one of the worst this year.

Big road win. Gaining some ground in the conference standings. .500 record. All good things!

They were super fortunate to have Fall on the bench all first half. Dude crushed us on the boards in the second half.

Whats the AAC race looking at right now?

I'd say getting that top 5 spot in the regular season race is imperative if we want to have a realistic shot at getting that auto-bid. Watching these guys getting gassed at the end of almost every game (understandably so) makes it clear we cant afford a marathon to the AACT title.

For NIT selection or if Uconn somehow won in Hartford, they would not be viewed as 12-12 as of now, by those standards, as the Chamanide win does not count as a D1 win.

Adams ate the 711 wings pregame or what? Looks on the brink of death or crapping his pants all night

My thoughts too.
1. Adams was gassed
2. Facey went out with his 4th foul
3. Fall was gumming up the entire paint very well
4. The dude guarding Purvis was locked in

UCF is a decent team with a good coach. We did what we had to and got the W.
Agree 100% with 1, 2, and 4. Those refs sucked, I counted 5 sec on Taco Bell 3 times tonight.

There's no 5 second defensive penalty in college ball. If folks want to know why we weren't getting into the paint effectively, the 7-foot-6 dude is the reason.

40, so the first great UConn player I really remember was Earl Kelley. My dad raised me on stories of Wes's jumper and Tony Hanson's ability to get to the rim & finish, though.
Here they are together. Saw Tony play many, many times. Saw Wes play twice.

only a game and a half back from 3rd place, not bad. Hell of a stretch coming up though, realistically need a win against one of either Cinci or SMU to have a strong hold on that top 5.
Split with SMU/Cincy at home, beat Memphis at home, and win at East Carolina. Gets them to 10 wins. Might get it done. Win at Temple and get to 11 to be safe and we have a bye.
