OK; this season is getting ridiculous. What's your estimate for number of games actually played by the Huskies??

I guess 2021-22 will be the magic year. Must be driving the coach and players nuts.

.-.
Assuming 1 out of every 4 games are to get canceled, I’ll go with around 18, give or take a game.

.-.
I'm over it already! Lol I'd say 16-20 and thats only if we put all Big East games in a strict bubble.

Minimum # the NCAA is planning on for acceptance to the tournament is 13 so UConn will play at least 13.
Key word is “planning”. Anyone think if dook plays fewer than 13, the NCAA won’t reduce the magic number to exactly however many games they played? Just look at the Big 10 with needing 6 games to play in conference championship but will likely change that of OSU/Michigan does not happen next week.

I say we finish 12-2 in a 3 way the for first in the league. So 14.

Thanks for all the replies. If I had to guess, I would have gone with 16. My fairly educated guess is that the * hits the fan between December 29 and January 15 (after the obligatory large family and friends parties for Christmas and New Year's, and then maybe settles down a little as the holidays end and vaccines become more available. Never thought the holiday season would be such a good news/bad news time of the year!

depends if there's a BE bubble. and i don't mean for the entirety of the season. there can be 3 different bubbles at a time held every other week where the teams can play 3 or 4 games in 7 days or something like that

When is the Big East going to release the schedule for the next phase of games? IIRC, they only have games scheduled up to Christmas time.

My god......the planet is not going to get wiped out, relax people.

Take the drama down a bit sunshine.. I'm not sure where in my post I said the planet is going to get wiped out. I meant that there is a strong chance we my have some mandatory lockdowns coming that may make any NCAA requirements for a tourney bid a moot point. California is already going through it

The big east needs to tell the schools that games will be scheduled 72 hous in advance. That way if three schools have a covid issue at that time, then 8 schools can play 4 games basically losing one game. If we have preset schedules we might lose three big east games if three schools can't play. All the schools should be prepared enough to plan a game plan for any other big east school in that time frame. If some schools get hit harder than others then they may play less games but there has to be flexibility.

“Let’s pray the world is in a place where the NCAA even gets to make a decision” sounds pretty damn dramatic to me. Are you that obtuse? You’re sounding a pretty extreme alarm bell there sparky.

Why not quote the post mine was in response to?

And I'm not going to get in an internet war with anyone let alone someone who uses the words obtuse and sparky as weapons.

As opposed to sunshine??

youre a joke if you can’t see that obvious hypocrisy
He used "sunshine" because he's an eternal optimist. And you, such a terrible pessimist, had the audacity to use "obtuse and sparky". Shame on you @uconngb
