Is this a good data point to show how bad they played yesterday? Would the Huskies have gotten steamrolled like this if they had pulled out the win against Colorado? Tough to say since the transitive property doesn't always work that way.

Would rather get steamrolled by Iowa St than steamrolled by Dayton!

Haven’t said this in about a decade but Louisville/West Virginia is pretty fun! Going to OT

I can not remember a season where one league looked as dominant out of the gate as the SEC looks this season.

Kinda controversial ending in the Butler-Northwestern game last night. Butler went for the foul while up 3 with about 5 seconds left, and, at least to me, it seemed like the Northwestern kid was pretty clearly in a shooting motion and banked in the shot. Refs ended up calling it on the floor.

So much for it being a football conference. I went to the college WS this year in Omaha, which was evenly split between SEC schools and ACC. SEC fans are different. They have mastered the art of a tailgate, come in bunches and are colorful and loud. ACC fans are wine and cheese comparatively. Peyton Manning and Morgan Wallen were both there and buzzing around in golf carts afterwards, routing for Tenn (who won the whole thing). The culture/pride in sports in those states is supercharged. It’s lots of fun, and easy to admire. With the $$ that conference has and the overall passion in that region no reason to think they don’t maintain hold. When you see it with your own eyes, even in baseball, you get it quickly. I haven’t been to an SEC football game but based on what I saw in Omaha, I’d imagine it’s 50x the energy.

Houston loses in OT to San Diego State. Now 4-3 on the season.
Clearly most of the pundits out there underestimated the value of Jamal Shead. It’s hard to replace the heart and soul of a team. Also shows how important the PG position is in college hoops.

Preseason ranked teams with 3 losses: UConn, NC, Houston, Creighton…

I think their loses are arguably better than ours (although I also think Memphis and Dayton are better than expected).

It will be the end of college sports if you are right.
