Should we all wait a few weeks before we post? This place is so reactionary. Everyone is great when they win right up until they stink a week later

This is the real takeaway. This was RuffRuff 6 days ago, now Michigan is the best team in college basketball in 2 years and is going to destroy everyone in sight. Less than a week ago they were at best the 11th best team in the country and not a title contenderThis place is so reactionary. Everyone is great when they win right up until they stink a week later

I was the one who said spread them out. But they have a real rim protector and can extend, ala us 2024.The experts have been lauding them for months, before they played. Just like they have with Mullins, yet you ignore that.
Probably not very well for Mullins on Yaxel. I also don't think he'd do a good job guarding Mullins on the perimeter. And as it was already laid out to you multiple times by other posters, our advantage is coming from the other 4 spots where we're better than Michigan
I’m never gonna jump on all portal team. They showed some serious talent and gelling this week. This is the real takeaway. You’d probably take our entire starting 5 if Mullins was in there.
Let me ask you this. Do you think we would have beat Gonzaga by 40 fully healthy? They are bigger, stronger and faster all over the floor. We could win by out executing.
Because of the source. When another team or player has a great stretch you jump on board with the hyperbole and accolades. When UConn did it your response was meh there's a lot of better teams with better talent. And you wonder why a UConn board finds that weird?I’m never gonna jump on all portal team. Why does this place take it so offensive if another team is more talented? My gawd the tribal mentality. It’s ok people. Anything can happen in a one game format and the talent gap isn’t that wide.
They showed their upside. That’s what you need to focus on.They also only beat Wake and TCU by a combined 5 pts. They played great in Vegas but aren’t going to keep beating everyone by 40 and if they do I’ll tip my cap and declare them the best college bball team of all time
I didn’t take AK over Morez and I would still take Yaxel over Mullins.
Here’s the thing - Ive been consistent all year saying we are a top 4 team. It’s ok some of these more unproven teams can come together and look better than our perceived upside based on roster and eye test. I was surprised by what I saw, but that was 3 games and consistent.Because of the source. When another team or player has a great stretch you jump on board with the hyperbole and accolades. There’s a difference between “I’m offended” and “What you said is dumb” and you can never seem to figure that outI’m never gonna jump on all portal team. They showed some serious talent and gelling this week.

What’s dumb about it? Easy to call something dumb, but offer me some context to why it’s dumb. I know you love jumping on here and just attacking people with no context, just to be a dick. There’s a difference between “I’m offended” and “What you said is dumb” and you can never seem to figure that out
Yes, I'm a UConn fan so I tend to support UConn. I prefer not to hate everyone on our rosterHere’s the thing - Ive been consistent all year saying we are a top 4 team. You’re not exactly flawless in the tribal direction. Have you ever recognized that most of your takes are all point one way? UConn defensive.
He’s impossible to have a debate with because he’s constantly moving the goal post. First it was there bigger than us. Once that was deemed as not meaning “better” he moved to more talented. When those of us actually went through the roster and refuted that as at best being debatable, now we’re all just being homers and don’t want to give Michigan credit.Yes, I'm a UConn fan so I tend to support UConn. You are taking away their two biggest advantages. A massive rim protector and a huge do everything 3 are major matchup up challenges. I’d say UConn is the better team, as they have more bench pieces to cover.@RuffRuff for arguments sake, if you removed Mara and Yaxel from Michigan, what would they look like?
Better or worse than UConn without Reed and Mullins?
Taking away Reed is taking away our biggest advantage. We can’t rebound without him. Mullins is arguably our most complete wing as well. Definitely one of our best shooters. You are taking away their two biggest advantages. A massive rim protector and a huge do everything 3 are major matchup up challenges. I think he and everyone else was enthralled because we saw them excelling early on. Once we saw the proof, then people gave them the credit.Got it, so you've been irrationally enthralled with every other team's freshmen for months but UConn's we have to wait and see. I know you like to try and maintain this sense of superiority and remain "objective" but the reality is you just really hate this entire UConn roster
Taking a first team AA and POY candidate is a lot to take away. We should probably just let this one play out. Goal posts do move because additional games offer new insights, especially this early in. I hadn’t even seen more than a half worth of Michigan prior to this week.Taking away Reed is taking away our biggest advantage. We can’t rebound without him. But just to be clear. Michigan in the same predicament UConn is in, isn’t as good?
But they are somehow more talented ?
We have no idea how he’s going to “fit”. It’s as much about that as it is his talent. How do we use him, how good defensively is he, does he provide offense other than 3s? What I’m confident in is that he can shoot. I’m not certain about the other areas of his game.I think he and everyone else was enthralled because we saw them excelling early on. We've seen one exhibition game from Mullins who showed some really good things. But I wouldn't say it's at the level of some of the freshman who's currently averaging close to 20 a game to start off.
I think we may have differing opinions on how good Taris Reed is. Because that first sentence described him imo. Look at his numbers.Taking a first team AA and POY candidate is a lot to take away. Me hating players is as hyperbolic as it gets. I offer details that explain my why I don’t trust certain players. I’d love for all of our players to be all world.
I think really highly of Tarris. I’ve been one of the first recognize how talented Tarris is. Im not sure we use him as effectively as we can. He’s not nearly the all around contributor that Yaxel is, can’t just take over on ball, pass, dribble.I think we may have differing opinions on how good Taris Reed is. And I agree it’s a lot to take away. Which makes what UConn has been doing even more impressive

We should just let this one play out. I’ll say that as of now, I think both teams can win it, but UM has more stacked talent.
