November General CBB Discussion Thread (Non-BE)

Patrick Sellers will be a hot commodity at year's end of this keeps up.
Sorry to see Steve struggling like this. Maybe he went off script too far with the five star recruits that seemed to lack the fire his players from earlier years had.
He's probably the worst offensive coach in the country.

I feel very bad for Steve. I think he might just be too nice of a guy. Coaches have to be s sometimes in order to succeed.

I can't adequately express how much it pisses me off that scum like rutgers, cuse, bcu got the life raft while UConn continues to shine. they danced on what they thought was our grave but they are dog compared to UCONN! I mean, it's not even close anymore. They are dregs.

Davidson just beat Boston College 59-49 to advance to the Finals of the Shiners Charleston Classic

CCSU is at Rutgers tonight - 6:30 pm BigTen+
Congratulations again on defeating another P4. It's always good to see our Connecticut brothers win. Also...

@Rutgers

All that Big 10 money and you can't beat CCSU. They beat you in your own gym and took your money.

They actually play Seton Hall in two weeks at the small Walsh gym, should make Central feel at home.
Looking forward to CCSU beating Seton Hall. That will then give them wins against Big 10, ACC and Big East. I am guessing that no one was calling that.

Don’t feel bad for Steve

Steve Pikiell's contract with Rutgers is worth $30.8 million over eight years,
How much is guaranteed? He should really be fired. Doing one of the worst coaching jobs in all of the P4.

I can’t say anything bad about Pikiell or Sellers. Few are more fun to talk hoops with than Sellers and I’ve got nothing for respect for Pikiell. Overall, I don’t like Big Ten basketball and I tend to root for Rutgers to be the underdog in that league.

He has been a terrible coach at Rutgers. He might be a nice guy but it is obvious he should not be coaching at the P4 level. If he is not fired it can only be that Rutgers does not want to payout his contract.

I don't put Rutty in with the others. They didn't try to black ball us. They just took their shot when it came. Geography, demographics and finance played in their favor. Yeah they are still Rutgers, but that's a reason for pity not scorn.

I can't believe schools like Rutgers and BC have all the resources to succeed but are just so anemic. Worse, these are the schools that get to be in the P4. It's just not right

Imagine how much better UConn could be in their places

Can you imagine how much better CCSU would be if we got a little more $$$ instead of it all going to UConn!!!!

I get it's Rutgers and everything, but what did they see to think he should be given multiple extensions? He's a .500 coach, and even their "good" seasons were not very good. Going 15-17 with two lottery picks, both of whom have already shown they have potential to be good NBA players, is just malpractice.

All they had was access to cable $$ in 2 major markets. But that’s all B 1g wanted

Perhaps they thought since he was coached by one of the greatest college coaches of all time he would of course be a great coach via osmosis. lol
