They won big with Calipari, who was cheating. That is as relevant as records that happened for the shot clock or 3 pointer. Memphis has good NIL, for a mid-major, but their competition is terrible, there is no exposure, and while I don't know their payroll, it seems unlikely they can compete financially with any major conference program that is remotely trying.

I can’t say anything bad about Pikiell or Sellers. Few are more fun to talk hoops with than Sellers and I’ve got nothing for respect for Pikiell. Overall, I don’t like Big Ten basketball and I tend to root for Rutgers to be the underdog in that league.

He has been a terrible coach at Rutgers. He might be a nice guy but it is obvious he should not be coaching at the P4 level. If he is not fired it can only be that Rutgers does not want to payout his contract.
