Chavez to Oklahoma
Pretends To Be Shocked Fake Shock GIF by AIDES

No Arizona schools in the top 25....lol.

Three Big 12 schools.

Chavez...... disappointed Texas....Tech
These rankings don't hold the same importance as they once did with the advent of the transfer portal.........look at Notre Dame which isn't in the top 25 yet can improve itself markedly through a couple of talented transfers.......in the meantime how many of these recruits will actually remain with their initial schools for the entirety of the careers?

Zakiyah Johnson and Skinner looked really good

Sienna Betts is going to be a nightmare at UCLA with her sister. Her passing and abilities as a floor spacer at 6’4-6’5ish impressed me a lot. Nobody should look forward to playing UCLA the next year with those two in the paint.

I love Somfai’s game too. Nice get for Stanford. Also really impressed with Jaliya Davis. Great get for Kansas because that’s a SEC player if I’ve ever seen one. Speiser for K-State is exciting as well.

LSU has a great class with Knox and Z. Johnson leading the way. Was very impressed with Johnson.

Anyone else watching the Nike hoop summit? I don't understand why Chavez is #1 overall. I can tell she has a pure shot but she is being troubled by the length of team world and she is a no-show on defense. IMO Sienna Betts should be the #1 recruit. Jazzy Davidson (USC), Skinner (Duke) and Betts (UCLA) were the standouts on Team USA in the first half.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from my Gamecocks so far. Agot's is using her long arms to cause turnovers and McDowell had one of the most impressive baskets of the night with a nice spin move at the top of the paint to fake out her defender and get near the basket for a contested layup.

Forgot. Will try to find it.

Chavez was making things happen MCD's week.

Agree, Chavez does a number of things well, e.g. passing, but not necessarily outstanding at any one thing. She doesn't seem all that athletic and certainly does not seem to have the handle or quickness of a premier PG. Agree that Betts and Davidson are the real deal (reminds a little bit of Citron), and Skinner looked pretty steady herself

Oh rats. Peacock. Hopefully it will hit YouTube shortly.

McDowell had 15?

Makeer is going to be a Swiss Army knife but might take awhile, possibly.

Didn't get a chance to watch but last I saw she had a brace on one of her legs. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Makeer didn't seem bothered by the leg brace. She also wore it in the McDonald's all American game. Makeer seems more raw as a player and I think she is going to take a few years to develop. I found it interesting that she was the starting PG for team world. I doubt she'll play that role in Dawn's system. Her length was very disruptive on defense with Chavez as her primary assignment. I thought she did a good job of shutting down Chavez. She also has this 3-pointer flop that I've seen over a few games and highlights now. Dawn is going to have to knock that out of her system. She did it in the game, the ref didn't call it, and it led to a fast break point in the other direction while she was picking herself up off the floor.

Yeah, McDowell led team world in points. Another efficient shooting night against great competition. She looks like she'll fit right into Dawn's system. She doesn't force shots and is a good rebounder and defender. She was probably the best 3 point shooter on team world. The stats say she only shot 1-2 from 3 range but I swear it was higher than that (but maybe her toe was on the line). I expect McDowell to get lots of playtime next season as probably the main backup to Tessa at the 3. She was being compared to Shyanne Seller by the announcers and I think that was fair. I also see some Madison Booker in her game.

Wonder if Oklahoma saw that tape and is regretting their $1m bribe...

Appreciate the insight on Makeer. On one hand I'm not surprised she was tagged as the PG. The HC for the World Team is Carly Clarke who is involved with Canada Basketball for both the women's national and youth teams. Makeer has played that position to an extent for Canada during FIBA competition, but I'm not a fan of it.
