Non-UConn recruiting thread - 2025

Ordinarily, I'd have said USC is the shoe-in once ND fell off her list. But I don't think it's so clear anymore.
Yeah, I just got done posting on The Bench about this.
ND dropping out of the picture here wasn't totally surprising to me. The biggest ripple ND and the Woliczko had was when it was discovered how much Woliczko's father liked ND. But it never seemed to go forward from there: not even aware of any unofficial visits.

In looking at ND's situation now, Woliczko seems to occupy a lot of the same/similar ground as a combination of 2025's Leah Macy (who probably won't walk onto the court until 2026) and newly committed Bella Ragone. Ivey has often talked about positionless basketball, but a recruit might think otherwise.

As to whom? Got me....Woliczko could fill the slot currently played by Chloe Kitts at SC. Ironically, Kitt's younger sister -- whom I've neve seen play -- is not at Ohio State. And she seems to genuinely like the Iowa coaching staff.

Stay tuned.

Anyone have an idea where??

I had Iowa, SC, Duke, USC, and ND as finalists for her. Really surprised ND isn’t anywhere to be found.

Iowa makes me nervous here.

surprised ND isn’t a finalist, but as a UConn fan, I’m glad ND was dropped. I think she will end up in South Carolina
My gut says it's gonna be a Iowa and South Carolina battle. I'm not sure who wins it but I'm glad we're in the mix. South Carolina NEEDS to have a good recruiting class, especially at guard.

Interesting that she didn’t want to join her sister at Michigan
I can see her wanting to make her own path. Also, Savvy's style of play is different than Syla's as she's more of a wing. Maybe she saw Coach Brook's system as a better fit?

Why do people assume that kids want to go to the same school as their sibling? Athletes or regular students.

Not that super players get scared of competition, but ND -- who was on Sword's final list -- just received a commitment from Bella Ragone, another 6'2" wing. Plus, they're expecting visits from Amari Byles and Jacy Abii. Then again, who knows if the whole Kate Koval abrupt departure affected her decision (or not)?

I thought Kentucky was an attractive wild horse for Swords. Good luck to her.

post courtesy of ND Hoops Recruits and RI Steve of the Bench.

As mwayne of The Bench has been noting, the ND coaching staff has been making offers to a number of 2026 prospects that play in the paint, including Kelsi Andrews, Leelee Bell and Missy Odom. (Gosh knows they need it -- ND has no posts who will be around in the fall of 2026.) Julia Scott is the latest. Here's a write-up I just dropped in the The Bench Recruiting Report on her:

- Julia Scott, (HG #25, PN #32, ASGR #45), a 6'3" power forward from Albertus Magnus HS and ESBF P24. Was named the 2023-24 Class AA Player of the year in New York State. 247Sports analyst Brandon Clay said that Scott, "is a solid prospect in every facet from her physical stature to her on-floor production. Scott has the ability to space the floor out to the 3-point line. There aren't many players who can limit her productivity." Coach Ivey offered her in June 2025. Has offers from wide range of schools, from ACC (Louisville, Clemson, Va. Tech, Wake Forest) to B1G (Oregon, Michigan) to the Ivies (Columbia, Harvard, Princeton). Very versatile forward who looks like she could run an offense from the high post.

Plot twist. The potential of Michigan having both Swords sisters is dead. Congrats Coach Brooks.

Excellent follow up to the Greenway commitment. Brooks is working hard to maintain or exceed that upper third of the SEC.

Agreed. Could see her in a role similar to Cayla King from Brook's VT rosters. Think she's a bit more athletic though.
