no chance UConn ever does that
If the payout is double what we are getting then don’t say no chance.
no chance UConn ever does that
That and, let's face it, the prisoner's dilemma. If we say no, would St. John's/Nova say yes?If the payout is double what we are getting then don’t say no chance.
With the Big 12 at 16 schools, that would mean not seeing Kansas, Baylor, Houston, et al on a yearly basis in Connecticut. So, does that change the dynamic of being in that conference? I say it does. That and, let's face it, the prisoner's dilemma. If we say no, would St. John's/Nova say yes?
I mean if B12 is dumb enough to give us a 50% share for bball only then you take it.If the payout is double what we are getting then don’t say no chance.
Big 12 could be claiming the NCAA Basketball Championship 4 years running. Perhaps 5.I mean if B12 is dumb enough to give us a 50% share for bball only then you take it.
The Big 12 TV deal is $32 million. If UConn got 30% that would be $9.6 million compared to $7.3 million for Big East TV contract. Would UConn consider it? Especially if it provided 4 to 6 football games a year against Big 12 teams.I mean if B12 is dumb enough to give us a 50% share for bball only then you take it.
MHver3 is the bottom of the barrel in the conference realignment universe. He throws up anything to get attention. He makes the Dude look sane.Big 12 could be claiming the NCAA Basketball Championship 4 years running. Perhaps 5.
Is MHver3 having flashbacks because I don't see any hypothetical path being mentioned in the real world.
I don't think the university leadership and the governor would see enough value prop if it only doubled BE revenues. I think it would have to be at least 3x with a non-con FB scheduling agreement. At least. If the payout is double what we are getting then don’t say no chance.
I'm not sure that is a much of an incentive unless there is a path to full membership. Keep in mind that the increase travel cost is likely $ 2M +If the payout is double what we are getting then don’t say no chance.
So double the BE TV contract would not entice UConn? FBS scheduling agreement with BIG 12 is better than what UConn has now.I'm not sure that is a much of an incentive unless there is a path to full membership. Keep in mind that the increase travel cost is likely $ 2M +
Pretty cool visual of the B1G and SEC Stadiums
I assume UConn is in the mix for ACC and B12
No one wants BC. Not even the ACC.The remaining teams would likely form a new league whose power status would depend on whether the SEC and B1G make moves. This would result in a very unstable league year after year. Basically Big East 2.0
It's highly unlikely that the BIG12's presidents, who now have a higher profile than in the last round, would be interested in UConn again. If Yormark had difficulty convincing them before, it would be even harder with schools like Louisville, Florida State, Clemson, NC State, Pitt, and possibly even BC in the mix.
If the ACC had any sense, they'd pull a mulligan, kick out BC, and taken UConn. But we know they aren't that intelligent even though they keep saying...No one wants BC. Not even the ACC.
Oh grasshopper.I assume UConn is in the mix for ACC and B12
