Yeah. That seems right.
Cry me a river…
Considering Texas was going to be making less than Vanderbilt, they should just pucker up and kiss their rear end.I have no idea what all the legalities are round the GOR. But, this precedent of merit based pay will gain ground everywhere. Texas is going to put up with a equal share to Vanderbilt? Yeah, for about 15 minutes.
Good news/bad news; Brett Yormark waking up to a plethora of new ideas… WV will be leading the charge for east coast buddies.comments from the mates. the writing is all over the place

"Yes. It is the beginning of the end. Especially for us. Our motto in terms of sports investments and coaching hires as always been “go small and go home.” So now at last we will go home to some crappy hodgepodge of a schedule. We might be better off just preemptively seeking admission to the Patriot league, playing NE schedules. We never generated the level of effort and financial commitment necessary to compete in contemporary big time sports, anyway."

"It might actually work out best for us if the ACC implodes ASAP. Assuming there’s a finite number of “life jackets” available in the Big 12, us looking for a home before the Pac-12 also crumbles apart is a good thing."

"the beginning of the end.
football schools want out. they are asking for the moon and won't get it.
they'll force their way out next. SU/Sveryvud and BC/Leahy should figure out a way to lock arms going forward here. they need to move with us whereever we go. it's gonna get ugly. hopefully nd puts their gigantic financial arms around boht of us and lead us to safety."
As long as we are getting a full share of conference revenue, we need to go wherever someone is willing to have us. The decision gets more difficult if someplace like the big 12 offers us a reduced or partial share.Good news/bad news; Brett Yormark waking up to a plethora of new ideas… WV will be leading the charge for east coast buddies.
I know people will clamor for us to wait for the BE resurrection; but that runs the risk that the B12 doesn’t strike first taking Pitt, Louisville and others. The B12 has a conf ready to go while the BE resurrection will need a media partner to give it a backbone which might be hard to coordinate at this point.
Not sure I believe that. Its becoming obvious that state flagships are the way to go in expansion. UConn should be more attractive than Cuse, BC, UL and Pitt to someone looking long term. This isn't just about today, its also about 10-20 years from now.SW AIM SHOW@GSw aim · 1h
BREAKING: Just verified this with a colleague who will also be reporting soon that #CardNation just became the eighth team to put the #ACC's existence into serious jeopardy. Of course that means the #Big12 has made the offer. Conference Realignment is going down...and soon!!

Yes, but they are not state flagships. They both play second fiddle in their own state. Both Louisville and Pitt are public institutions.
