Aresco may be looking to make a good deal for a network, preparing his next job, and for the weaker schools in the league who would happily sign a GoR for an extra $2 mn per year. There were rumors recently that Aresco was talking to schools like Marshall about expansion -- if so maybe he wants to dilute the voting power of the more valuable schools to get the GoR through? Maybe he expects departures? With exit fees gone when the TV contract expires, the top schools may look to break away for a smaller higher-quality league. UConn, Cincy, UCF, BYU, Boise, SDSU, Temple, SMU, Houston, USF or Memphis?
