B12 will not vote to expand next Saturday but they might decide to winnow down the candidates to 2.

Texas is open to the BHV report but the assumption of an $6-8m threshold for viability appears valid. Timeframe to threshold is a factor.

Most media saying ESPN isn't interest in a B12N are wrong. They are basing that on opinion & assumption - not fact.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
ESPN's view is that a small B12N profit is better than a LHN loss.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@CincyP5orbust If your ESPN would you rather earn $.02 on LHN or $.60 on B12N? Have 20M on LHN or 50M on B12N?
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
BHV will say current B12 market for a network is 20-25m without expansion. Previously thought to be 13m.
Mountaineer Steve@Mountaineer_Ste
@theDudeofWV 20-25M what? total per year, per team...?
Christopher Lambert@theDudeofWV
@Mountaineer_Ste the 20-25m is estimated cable homes in media footprint.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@caingle LHN is already in 20m homes. Expansion to 14 could move that 34m or more.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@caingle I understand that ESPN has already informed Fenves they would support B12N.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@caingle Its going to be ego first for Texas & money second in regards to LHN. Money seems to be there.

@theDudeofWV if espn claims they don't have money to make ACC network, how the hell could they do b12?
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@Ruknighttime With a B12N ESPN would just convert LHN into B12N. Add subscribers & charge more.
CHOP @Ruknighttime · 4h4 hours ago
@theDudeofWV and why would Texas give up LHN control and money?
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 3h3 hours ago
@Ruknighttime Texas would not give up a dime.
Christopher Lambert @theDudeofWV · 5h5 hours ago
@caingle If a network is really an option I don't see how large market schools are left out.
