Hopefull AE can come up with more than one rebound tonight.UConn lost 25 pts and 10 rebounds(Ono and Ducharme) from the last game vs DePaul. Who fills the void?
They’re not better shooters.Dorka (if she’s playing) CW, EW, AE, AZZI, NIKA are better than DePaul. So, just go out and beat them.
I wasn't expecting Caroline back until the Xavier game, to be honest. Let her get through these two games (DePaul & Marquette) and hopefully, with rest and minimal contact, we have her back out there for the Xavier game.
And who knows if Dorka will play and for how long. I don't see how DeBerry and Piath don't get in this game. Half of the team is unavailable tonight. The real problem tonight is Geno can't just play 6 players against DePaul. They'll just run the team into the ground. He may be forced to play DeBerry whether she's ready or not, effective or not. Otherwise the 4th period will just be a lay up drill for DePaul.
Yeah, I didn’t write it down, but I was thinking the same thingBack to back losses streak on the line tonight.
I really never understood the “She’s not ready” mantra. Game minutes help players get ready. Injuries occur and we are forced to use players who aren’t ready?? Crazy. The real problem tonight is Geno can't just play 6 players against DePaul. They'll just run the team into the ground. I agree. Why not start Amari DeBerry and see what happens. She has a lot of athletic ability and she is 6-5.there are some games I feel that Uconn should experiment even if it means a loss, this one should be one of those games. I really would want to see Deberry get meaningful minutes even if she struggles. It's better to get your feet wet and learn from experience.
If I were DeBerry I'd be a little annoyed at having a year of eligibility burned for 22 minutes of game action if the plan all along was to not play until ready whatever that means.I really never understood the “She’s not ready” mantra. I was actually really impressed with their defense last game, they were solid and gave UCONN a hard time with their pressure. The one silver lining is that DePaul is 372nd in team defense. They have given up over 90 points in FIFTEEN games & over 100 in EIGHT of those games. UCONN should be able to light up the scoreboard & hopefully outscore DePaul, even with a depleted lineup.
not the least bit funny.
You talkin bout Carolyn, Carol? That’s what some BYers call her. LolGuess she won't clear medical staff until she knows her name and how to spell it.
Why?Boy it’s shocking that they allowed ONO to sit on the bench in the Vill game.
I'm afraid not one of these players will be able to get any rebounds with Morrow in the game, so...Dorka (if she’s playing) CW, EW, AE, AZZI, NIKA are better than DePaul. So, just go out and beat them.
