Do you honestly think people complaining on message boards helped get the KO deal done? That might be the craziest part of your post. We're talking about adults making important decisions, and the idea that they'd kowtow to the lunatic fringe is ridiculous. His entire decision making process remained unchanged from day one. From the get go he said he wanted to see how he coached and how grades panned out. He waited until he had a satisfactory answer to each of those and then gave him the extension.

It's also pretty crazy that you think 80% of UConn fans are happy with our coaching situation just because we have a hobby outside of constantly posting new threads to bitch about it. You really need to learn what you have control over and what you don't and focus on the first stuff.

media ppl are not harvard poster childs. they don't usually have a dam clue or are just not that smart. they just got really good with microsoft word and watching sports. your kidding yourself if u dont think the talking heads check fan opinions on social media and message board type platforms to help get a idea of whats going on at any school. they feed off what the fans are saying or against and play different sides on purpose. a ton off ppl here were going nuts about the ko contract. some local horde ppl started getting in on it questioning the fans then the school and pros and cons bs. then the national media during games started to join in. its all a chain effect. it started with some ppl here and elsewhere who were fans or just knew what we had and they wern't happy with what the contract was. that spread to a pr nightname for uconn.

If he comes in and fires PP right away what does that say to other prospective head coaches.....hey we'll give you a year and if you don't take us to a BCS game you're fired....no he is giving PP some time to do his thing and if it doesn't work out then he is gone and it tells other coaches that they will be allowed time to build a program and not be expected to fabricate a powerhouse in 7 months...it is a 15 - 20 year process

This isn't exactly right away due to the fact that PP is heading into his 3rd yr and this year was atrocious in the 2nd half of Big East games especially. Losing DB isn't giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling either. I understand that this is Wm's first go round with PP, but the proof is in the pudding concerning the results on the field. I would think there are coaches out there that can see where they could make improvements. I will watch, but not too optomistic with the status quo.

HFD post less? no. Has the anger and pain of this tortuous football season already subsided? We need PP gone like yesterday. Alert your family, friends, co-workers. A B12 team like Texas Tech has more passing TDs in 1 game than we get in a friggin year, and those are to TEs....1 more year is 1 more wasted.
Crowds you see at Yale Bowl for Eli games today is what we'll have.
Yep, let's give Blue another year. No

I'm sure coaches are negatively recruiting against UConn (and everybody else). I'm sure they'll use the conference situation against us. I have a really hard time believing they think they can tell recruits about how our AD is a donut eating doofus and the recruits will care or buy it. They might care about or buy the possibility that PP (and the rest of the staff that's recruiting them) will get canned in a year, or that our schedule in 2014+ will suck, or that our TV situation is up in the air or that our fans are "french vanilla" in terms of supporting the program. So I think we as a fanbase can concentrate on those problems instead of inventing fantasies based on other fantasies based on twitter rumors based on tea leaves.

You are correct 2 accounts. First, recruits don't care about ADs. Second, Warde is a donut eating doofus. Unfortunately, the grand poser's doing nothing to rock the sweet gig mode, is killing us day by day.
