Nika got through four years at UConn without a scratch, and then has two ACL's at the start of her pro career. Very unfortunate.

I think you have to come back at least one more time. Theoretically, she's rebuilt and ready to go after rehabilitation.

It didn't look good when it happened, but I didn't think it looked like an ACL either. The fact that she hadn't been back for a couple of weeks was an indicator, though.

This is my favorite suggestion for a post-playing career ever. Seriously. We have enough coaches. Go swing a magic sword in the movies, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Best wishes to Nika - just devastating news.

From what I could tell Nika had elevated her game on the offensive end after coming back from her first ACL injury, witness the game for Croatia in November 2025 when she hurt her ankle. One injury after another.

Now this is the other knee, same rehab. She will crush it but a shame that she is again out of action for an extended period.

Nika, you have a whole lot of friends and fans here in Connecticut who will be with you in spirit all the way!
