I don't know, these two posters have been very restrained in dealing with the never-ending and less than mature bashing of their alma mater's rep. Such bashing is really old and tired and weak, IMHO.

This is demonstrably false. Godfrey, the most recent academic monstrosity your school just admitted was not admitted into UConn because of his grades. I really don't want to get into this pissing match, but, uh, no.

There will always be some overlap in recruiting targets, but Memphis has gone after (and landed) a bunch of guys UConn would never touch.

Most are friendly actually on this board and you've been a gracious visitor for the most part no doubt. But the key word is visitor here and when you see something relative to your favorite program which you don't agree with, be careful how you approach it unless you have your big boy britches on. It's all good, we like having someone in our conference who will be in the national spotlight, it's a win-win. Godfrey being denied by UConn and LSU to name a few and actually talking to admissions in Storrs CT is something we can openly discuss and criticize here plain and simple since he somehow made it through yours.
