I really don't want to get into this pissing match, but, uh, no.

There will always be some overlap in recruiting targets, but Memphis has gone after (and landed) a bunch of guys UConn would never touch.

Most are friendly actually on this board and you've been a gracious visitor for the most part no doubt. But the key word is visitor here and when you see something relative to your favorite program which you don't agree with, be careful how you approach it unless you have your big boy britches on. It's all good, we like having someone in our conference who will be in the national spotlight, it's a win-win. Godfrey being denied by UConn and LSU to name a few and actually talking to admissions in Storrs CT is something we can openly discuss and criticize here plain and simple since he somehow made it through yours.

LMAO, I love how this thread went from a recruit thread (UConn's plan E no less) to a pissing match over North/South, rednecks, and bashing Memphis.

Yarders, stop giving our guests such a hard time. UofMemphis has been a good contributor on here and shouldn't be driven away.

Why do we beat up on kids & their fans when they commit to other schools? Really, he's a kid from Tennessee who committed to Memphis, which is in Tennessee. It's not really a shocker. Then we compound it by insulting him for his misspellings with bad grammar insults, which makes us look equally as bad. I don't have perfect grammar either, so cut him some slack...

Good pick up for Memphis. They need an athletic big guy. I look forward to see how he develops. He seemed to pop up out of the blue on our recruiting. I don't think he was a major target here, but doesn't make him bad. He's got good size & has time to develop. Only helps our conference.
