What is the history of transferring back to a previous school? I can't think of it happening ever--in any sport...
???
???
No. She was selected in the draft.Peuho from AZ?
The twins actually make their money from real NILs with corporations, not from the pay to play NIL organized by boosters. (and now schools!, hard to believe Virginia led this move)reason #1 The Cavinder twins represent NIL $$$ more than any other wbb players. They are literally the poster children for NIL. So don't be surprised if in the near future all of you good people on here accuse Miami of "buying" a championship. Think about it. It was done with the first Marlins Championship and having Messi on your soccer team doesn't hurt your chances in soccer now does it?
Hailey Van Lith will not have a WNBA career for any number of reasons, she is only 5’7” and isn’t an elite shooter as her FG and 3 pt career numbers prove, she is not especially quick, can’t really penetrate, isn’t a point guard and is an average to below average defender. Making the WNBA is extremely hard as there are only 12 teams and 12 spots per team. Hailey Van Lith is a nice player but she’s not nearly as good as she thinks she is. Her video and her personal trainer intimated that her going to LSU was not a success due to Mulkey which I disagree with. Mulkey tried to win and at times the team was better with Hailey Van Lith on the bench. Hailey Van Lith is a volume shooter that I still am unsure if she could really create her own shot against really good teams. I like the “lefty” but don’t see her at the next level in the USA…Not trying to veer, however at this point, Hailey Van Lith needs to go someplace that's going to accentuate her skills, let her improve whatever she needs, in order to have a pro career.
Just joking ...not realWhen/where was it reported that Saylor committed to TCU?
Stephanie Watts started at UNC (under Hatchell), then went to USC, then back to UNC after coaching change. What is the history of transferring back to a previous school? I can't think of it happening ever--in any sport...
I stated that they "represented" NIL deals which is true. Meier was suspended for 3 games because she introduced the twins to an NIL "deal maker" not that they were being paid for their basketball prowess (although they are ballers imo). Now you are able to get NIL money for being a great player and there's money in Miami that will definitely entice great players to go there in the future. This is a new reality and approach which didn't work with Meier staying on. The certain type of players they will bring in will definitely get eyeballs.big schools would not offer them pay to play anyway.
???
yesI'm wondering if the Cavinder return to Miami is related to Meier's retirement?
I think you are underselling her a bit. She had a bunch of 20 point games in the Tourney when she was with Louisville. Some of those were against good teams.Hailey Van Lith is a volume shooter that I still am unsure if she could really create her own shot against really good teams.
We are basically in agreement. Are you saying Meier was not interested in supporting the 'pay for play' strategy? Now you are able to get NIL money for being a great player and there's money in Miami that will definitely entice great players to go there in the future. TCU's 2024-25 Women's Basketball web only has 8 players. We are basically in agreement. Are you saying Meier was not interested in supporting the 'pay for play' strategy?
Interesting in this year's transfer go round, only TCU appears to be buying players. Most of the other big moves have logic to them. Iriafren will be interesting as she is a great player, who can draw money.
Even TCU is also the old Oregon connection for Prince and Hailey Van Lith.
We are in agreement and yes that's what I'm saying. In her retirement speech she said she valued long-term relationships with players and their families and felt Miami would do very well in the future. Why? Because of the 'pay for play'. Also, Miami sees a big opportunity with wbb and women's sports in general - IF you get the right type of players which were not the type of players Meier was bringing in for the most part.We are basically in agreement. Are you saying Meier was not interested in supporting the 'pay for play' strategy?
So many possibilities. Perhaps recognition of 8000 people being in the portal?Any idea what this means????
???
If that avatar is meant to be ASU Sun Devils... I can't believe it involves BEERS or Kiki.Is that Beers or Iriafen music?
Heresy! Elmo is no Devil.Could be a "SUN DEVIL"??? Arizona State University???
St Elmo’s Fire…per wiki, the movie “centers on a clique of recent graduates of Georgetown University“Heresy! Elmo is no Devil.
He does, however, get exasperated by pet rocks so perhaps some news for the Boulder-based Colorado Buffs?
Welcome to the Boneyard!Hi all- been Uconn fan for many yrs- I just read posts- 1st post--
FYI, St, Elmo's Fire is a weather event. But, it's also seen as mystical-over the rainbow- paradise. Before your times, it was a movie about college kids and their futures -circa 1980. It had hit theme song "St. Elmo's Fire" ( Man in Motion). Google it> maybe that's the music. I think that's what this guy is getting at-- college players and their dreams.
Also, I have to believe Uconn has Beers. Uconn guards wouldn't be following her en masse if she weren't going to be a team mate, otherwise it would seem an insult to uconn's bigs. I'm sure the players wouldn't do that. -)
