One thought about the new logo... IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A BEAR IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. You can't make this stuff up. Do the complainers saying 'the new logo looks like a bear' realize that the old logo wasn't even a husky? The new logo looks fine and the athletes like it. Protest something else, please.
I'm telling you it does. When you see a small version on a shirt it is very similar to a bear logo. And my guess is that you had no idea that the old one wasn't a husky until you read it in the paper. Most people had no clue what a Samoyed(if it is even that) was and I suspect most assumed it was a type of husky. The old one was an artist's concept of what UConn's (all white) husky would look like. Donald is some computer guy's concept of what a generic clip art husky would look like. When they decide to make a new logo for Washington, Northern Illinois or someone they can just change the colors. For New Mexico they can add teeth. If they come out with something new next year, or next week, the athletes will like that too. That is the silliest reason to make a change.

It's shocking how wrong and negative you can be about every single thing, being dumb and angry is no way to go through life. Also, just because you were too dumb to know that our last logo wasn't a Husky doesn't mean that other people didn't know it.

To be fair, I don't see a great deal of merchandise from the other schools that went through the Nike rebranding.

http://www.osubeaversshop.com/ has a few things, but they're dwarfed by older stuff, and they had a few months head start.

http://www.calbearsshop.com/ even moreso.

I have a feeling this is all waiting on a nike manufacturing schedule.

Whoa, let's not try to bring context in here. Context has no place here.

Yes generic clip art, the new logo looks absolutely nothing like a real life husky

I actually like the new logo, but the logo on the hat looks awful. Looks like Jonathan had an allergic reaction to a bee sting.

I imagine Nike knows what they're doing since they've been down this road once or twice. Don't think this has anything to do with UConn's marketing decisions

That's the dumbest argument, I wish people would stop using that as a crutch.
It wasn't a a real husky......

.....and there's a bunch of lakes in LA too, get real people
New logo is a joke, didn't realize there's so much sheep in the boneyard

The Lakers moved to LA from Minneapolis. Minnesota is "the land of 10,000 lakes". Hence the nickname. If you think the new husky looks like a bear you should get your eyes checked. The old husky was a playful cartoon dog. People who are in freaking love with it are more than questionable.

Are there any "#tentoesin" T-shirts available? If not, I think I'm going to have my brother design & print a few since he does this service for others...

? The logo reveal was moved up about a week, due to the leak. You're 1000% wrong.
1000% huh? Wow, I must be pretty wrong. Still, I don't think so. Go and look up the original date for the uniform reveal, if you are curious.

You really don't think I was aware of that?!? C'mon guy, I wasn't born in Estonia, get real
But if you are so concerned that a logo/mascot being a "perfect representation", than the "Lakers" franchise should have changed names when moving to LA...... Point being a logo/mascot does not need to be an exact representation, but what matters more is tradition (specifically, for us, during an era where we became a pillar of college basketball)

Is there really a push to move merchandise right this second? I'm thinking Nike & Co. are pumping out new stuff to role out for the beginning of the fall semester and fall sports. It makes the most sense to me. Build up the hype now, let people who don't like the logo initially sit on it and let it grow on them...but August, everyone will want a jersey or shirt just in time for the first FB game of the season. Absolutely brilliant!

I saw a Nike dryfit workout shirt that featured the new husky, definitely looked badass.

No one has mentioned the biggest travesty about the t-shirt sporting the new logo: It's a 50/50 cotton/poly blend.

Come on folks, gotta be 100% cotton!

Never. The blends or 100% poly are so much more comfortable to work out in. They also don't turn into wet towels when you're done.

Workout shirts are entirely different. I'm talking about t-shirts. Different drawer. For me at least. I don't work out in t-shirts, and I don't wear Under Armour or those types of shirts for anything other than exercise. 50/50 blends in t-shirts is like 50/50 blends in dress shirts imo; i.e., not an option for me. Looks cheesy and feels cheesy.
