We can confirm… It will add seats. Is it taking away seats for the students?

You give people gold bars and they complain they're too heavy.
Id like to go the other direction. Line the perimeter of the building with metallic film which successfully knocks down wifi and cellular signals and then for 2 hours people can watch the fricking game. For younger fans, they want great wifi (top priority) and high quality video boards. My son and his friends never mention concourse, bathrooms, better vendors,... as an issue.

There are plenty of timeouts. I don't really care to watch professor whoever honored at half or some college bro airballing 3s to win 50 bucks at radioshack 2.0Id like to go the other direction. I'm in agreement! The gif I posted was in jest. If I'm paying to be at an event, especially a huskies game - phone stays in pocketIts not really yelling at the clouds. I just have the opinion that events people pay money to see are best enjoyed by paying attention and being engaged with what you paid to see. Obviously I know that horse has left the barn and people just want to bury their heads in their phones no matter where they are at. Its a free country, have at it. But I draw the line at people complaining that it should be catered to.
Concerts are even worse between cell phones and chompers (people who yap through all the music literally ruining it for people who paid to go listen to the music) public events are almost un-attend-able. If social media is your bag, isnt it much more comfortable (and cheaper) to do it from your couch? But I get it. The whole buzz these days is taking a picture of the event you're at to show your followers you are at the event. That action is actually more important than the event. It's kind of an intelligence measurement stick for me, so I appreciate knowing the easy indicators of who not to bother to engage with in a public setting.
That's what she said? It's so much bigger than I gathered from the concepts. Wow
Well (throws up in mouth) Kentucky is playing on an LED floor:Next go around they can incorporate something like Sphere using the dome. Or Hemisphere.

I live nearly 1,000 miles away and everyone I speak with about sports knows "UConn". Seems like a good thing that the name is so universally known and somewhat unique. And, as rare it seems to be to teach civics in schools today, people do know UConn is in Connecticut and is the flagship university. Its crazy how in 2024 a University thinks its a good idea to get away from it's primary potential market (the residents of the State of Connecticut). The closer the ties to Connecticut the more fans the University can capture outside its direct student/alumni/staff base.
I have never understood it and probably never will. That's why I always try to say I'm a fan of "Connecticut" or "Connecticut Huskies" whenever possible in written communication and even when I'm talking to someone
They should always proudly try to market "Connecticut" as part of their branding strategy because a lot of people tend to follow teams based on geographic association. Who knows - it may help draw more fans to football games outside traditional alumni base.
Those are just my 2 cents. Maybe they looked at the data and determined otherwise. who knows
Not only is their name, recognition, but when people realize I am UConn fan, they inevitably want to talk to me about our teams and our coaches. I've also had the experience where people were hyper aware of what the woman's team had done, but weren't aware that the men, at the time, had won five championships. Outside the US, in particular, the UConn women's team is a huge brand.I live nearly 1,000 miles away and everyone I speak with about sports knows "UConn". Sure there's USC and UCLA (and others) and Pennsylvania State University is called Penn State and PSU, but there's something that clicks with people when they hear UConn.....
maybe it's the 6 in 25!
Side note. It's been 8 years since the women have won and yet, when I'm talking about basketball with people I meet, invariably they mention the women. So, for those that try to understand why Duke is still so prominently on the minds of players like Grouper Flagg, the name will probably remain prominent for 20 years no matter how many five stars go there and don't fulfill the promise of their ratings and fail to win a championship.
What's the over/under on Scheyer ever winning one and how many years of not winning one will it take to move him out?
A couple points. These new boards will make it easy to check stats and the large images of replays will be exciting for the fans.I'll never understand the point of wasting money on stuff like this. Make real quality of life improvements; Concourse, bathrooms, better vendors, anything that makes going to the games less difficult. Was anyone complaining about the old video board?
