So feel free to start.....i think that his comments should have stimulated substantive comments. so where are they?

People were responding to the OP's body of work.i think that his comments should have stimulated substantive comments. and there are none in sight.
It wasn't meant to have responses.
It set the proper tone for the game, "We're DOOOOOOOOOMED!!!"
True, assuming he can somehow swim back, after removing all the tar, feathers and cement boots.if UConn lose then of course he's a genius and will be UConn's next coach!
Are you really a UCONN Fan or an imposter?
.... dyspeptic dystopian.Guess again. He's not a UConn fan. Not an imposter. He is an [fill in the blank.]
enough with all of the witty comments. why no specific rebuttals of jsloanjr's points? is this the best that this board can come up with? personally, i find a lot of what he says makes sense. who is the point guard, or isn't there one? are the posts playing well? is the team defense as stifling as they were earlier this year? is the half-court offense getting open shots, or is the scoring coming from having superior individuals? pleased with the defense against out-of-bounds plays? marquette is not the only team to have taken advantage there. perhaps the lack of substantive responses is because people are finding it hard to find arguments with what he said.
regarding ND, does anyone really think, player to player, position to position, that uconn matches up favorably with them?
I will agree with this....While he is being unjustly accused of being a prophet of doom, Sloan has several pretty good points about tonight. I suspect we'll wind up winning, but I'm made uncomfortable by several things. Stef's confidence is shot. We have way too much trouble getting the ball in to her, and, when we do, her turnover tendencies are becoming serious, mainly because she has yet to learn to use her big body aggressively, and still insists on putting the ball on the floor too much. This puts much more pressure on Bria and KML to hit from the periphery, always something of a crapshoot. Let's hope they're both "on." Also, the game will be very physical, and ND is way more clever than we are at "playing" the refs, getting to the line disproportionally compared to us. And, probably most importantly, what will Tiff bring to the table tonight? If she disappears, we're in trouble! We're still a team without a clear identity, despite our undeniable talent, because no one has emerged as the undisputed floor leader. This is Tiff's big chance to do it in a big game, and throughout the tournament!
JS, we got it done in Happy Valley yesterday.Lets see how this game turns out tonight.......I have my DVR all fired up....I have 3 surgeries in the morning and 4:30 comes early......Hopefully, UCONN proves me wrong.........GO UCONN!!!
I am really torn on picking a winner tonight. Prior to the two losses by UCONN and ND at home I would have said that UCONN would win this game. But each losing to a lower ranked opponent gives me pause when I go to pick either way. The UCONN loss actually was not as alarming to me as ND's was because ND has a more experienced team.
My pick for tonight is still UCONN as long as you can get some post production. Peters has been playing well and Achonwa seems to be developing well. If Dolson and Stokes can't put up some decent numbers it will be a tough one to win.
Why quibble over synonyms?
Well if you really beleive that you are going to wake up to a NiteMare. .UConn will win by double digets and it may not be that close. ND shouldve lost the first time. Alot of fouls late by ND and no calls and alot of fouls on UConn that shouldve been charges on ND and maybe a little ND home cookin. UConn by 10+I just finishes watching that Marq game Geno style and this team is so out of sorts that one day will not fix all their problems......How many times does every player need to get beat off the dribble before they start to fix the problem. Here are my reasons for ND Victory on Monday: Thoughts from Geno;s Show on Sat......Now, I watch games differently.......
1. No PG for UC
2. No Post toughness or Post presents.
3. Poor team defense.......Cannot keep their man in front of them.
4. Cannot stop the dribble drive and ND will expose them over and over
5. Poor spacing on offense that causes poor passing and no open Passing lanes.
6 ND is too physical and they will force 20 turnovers Min.
7. Bria has lost her confidence and misses too many open J's
8. KML is still a freshmen and is prone to mistakes to cover up for the other poor guard play.
9. Too many players playing out of position. Geno is right when he said players do not know how to play BB from a court management and skills and missing BB IQ.......Too many AAU games with poor fundamentals and no coaching.
10. College coaches are now left to start remedial BB.......
When Marq runs a basic inbound play 4 times and scores.......How does that happeen? If your stomach can stand to watch last nights game again, look for all of the above.
ND 78 UCONN 68

Naaaa.....you're not negative....lol.OK, Reasons we could be in trouble tonight;
1. Notre Dame has been the more cohesive team throughout the season; I stated that before the last game. More
true now.
2. One cannot find anything positive in the deteriorating morale of the posts; I mean both breaking down in public after a game so late in the season cannot by any standard be considered a good sign.
3. Both teams were in a little funk as of late but Noversel had a break out game the other day and Bria didn't.
4. Like UTENN to a much lesser extent, its hard to know exactly what UCONN team is going to show up on
any given night.
5. Devereaux Peters had become far more disciplined and is rarely is in foul trouble (like last year).
6. Related to #1, the super-senior leadership gives Notre Dame a big edge.
7. They have shown the mental toughness that Geno craves for this team.
My predictions: I think that our posts will find Nirvana, but perhaps not in this game. I think the talent is equal. How Doty is able to perform may be the difference. If the game is close, I like our chances, if its a blowout, I don't.
Knew a girl named Synonym Simmons. Man, was she sweet. Perky too. She also had a lisp. I think she changed her name as a result. To Antonym. Much easier to say. Though afterward she was far more contrary.I'm with you JS... synonyms ain't worth the knife fight... cause ev'body knows synonyms is good with ev'thang....
Synonym buns, Synonym buns with raisins, Synonym flapjacks, Synonym Jambalaya, Synonym cakes, Synonym toofpaste, Synonym Cherrios, Synonym apple soup, Synonym Ice cream with jimmies/shots/sprinkles, Synonym fried rice, Synonym chicken with tater's, Synonym Shrimp...
